You are not alone! I was banded on Nov. 3 and I am down a total of 31lbs, with about 15 since the surgery. I can eat a lot more than I should be able to and have not lost a single pound in over a week. I am scared that I am going to fail. I can't have a fill until the end of December or beginning of January and I'm scared!

I know how you feel. I had my surgery on November 3 and I am down about 15lbs....but nothing in over a week. I am so frustrated, but I know I need to be patient.

Hi Boos! I wish I could help but I'm in the final stages and hopefully about to get a surgery date for late August/early September. I know we have at least one person (Babbs3772) who just had her surgery in the middle of June. Hopefully she (or some of the others who have been through it already) will be able to help you! I am not banded yet, so I cannot speak to that part but I did have staples (a bunch) when I had my c-section. They were in there for about five days and when I had them taken out I didn't feel anything, just pulling on the skin. You'll do fine! Good luck!

I go for the WLS seminar at the end of March, is anyone on this board going then too? I'd like to know someone beforehand!

:frown: Hi! I am in Vermont and I am going to see my PCP soon about getting the lap band done. Can anyone tell me how long the process usually takes from initial consult to band surgery date? Thanks!
