  1. After yanking me around for almost a year, my insurance is balking at paying for my surgery. The surgeon I've been consulting with charges $17,600 for the surgery itself (hospital stay, anesthesia, band and supplies, etc) then he charges $300 for every fill. Does someone know - Is there a less expensive surgeon in Kentucky? I think it would be cheaper if I found someone who even does it outpatient as opposed to an overnight stay. HELP!~ I'm at my wit's end!
  2. I called my insurance co. and they told me they approved the Lapband but when I went to the surgeon's office they said my insurance company has a stipulation that I be on a medically supervised weight control program for 6 months. I've been going to Weight Watchers for almost that long. Shouldn't that count? Does anybody know of a way to get around that? It took me long enough to decide to get the surgery to begin with! HELP!!!:cursing:
  3. Looking for anyone who has had experience with Cigna insurance. Preferrably in Kentucky. They've told me they cover it but they're making me jump thru hoops.:smile2:
  4. Oops! And is there anyone who's had theirs done in E-town KY?
  5. Is there anyone who's on about the same schedule as me? I go to my 2nd appt at the surgery center on Thurs. I meet with the nutritionist and the insurance coordinator. I should have my band some time in the summer. And it would be so nice to talk to someone doing it at the same time.
