I have stalled in my weight loss the last couple of years. Althought I have not gained which is awesome I have become way too comfortable...I decided to get busy. I am currently on week 3 of the couch to 5K program. I also go to Zumba 2x's per week. To hold myself accountable I also registered for a 5K at the end of October. Anyone else doing this or just starting out in a running program?

I lost 90 pounds the first year. I have been struggling with the same 20 pounds for the last few years. Goal for me would be to loose another 30 pounds!

Looking for some non-judgmental feedback
rikikareen replied to Sassy Pants's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did the same thing as stratcat...mashed potates with gravy or refried Beans thined out. I would really look at the other reasons you may have eaten the pizza...we are all here for the same reason...if this were easy we wouldn't have had surgery to help us. The only advise I can offer you is to make good choices and if you are going to "cheat" be smart about it. I will tell you that the sooner you allow yourself to cut corners the harder it will be to achieve your goal weight. This is the place I am in...I lost a lot of weight but I have been fighting the last couple of years to get to my goal...know that you are not alone but you have to hold yourself accountable first ! Good Luck! -
I finished week 5....I was really shocked because I intially thought I would have to repeat week 4. I am amazed everytime the run time increases and I am able to push through! I am really starting to see that this is as much a mental thing for me as it is physical...The weather is supposed to be beautiful here on Monday so I plan to do my first outside run Yuck to the flu...I would jump back to where you left off and see how you do! Keep it up everyone...I wish I had become this active 3 1/2 years ago right after I was banded!!

Tomorrow is my last day of week 4. Up until this week I have progressed really well without having to repeat any workout. I have to say I am pretty nervous about week 5...I will try it but I may have to do week 4 again before I am ready to move on. When I am running on the treadmill I never go over a 5.5...that is a nice pace for me. Liftingchick...congrats on all the running accomplishments. I hope to get there too. I wish I had started exercising like this from the beginning...better late then never I guess.

Hi everyone... I was banded in Fed 2008. I had great success and lost about 90 pounds the first year....I am still however at the same spot...I have noticed a CRAZY pattern. Although I have not gained my weigh back I constantly fight with 20 pounds. I will get about 2-5 pounds from "onderland" then I will gain 10-15. I know I am sabotaging myself and I am working to try to figure out why. I am exercising a lot now and I that is helping in multiple areas...anyone else go through this??? What did you do...how did you break through the mind set of not being the "fat" girl anymore?

MRL....I am in Texas too (Waco area) so I am currently on a treadmill until fall gets here. I just finished week 3 and I also have the iphone app. I am currently running at a 5 and walking at a 3.8 we will see how that goes next week as the time of running increases. I love how I am starting to feel running and I can see where my endurance is growing already. Thill69 & Kanroz....yall give me hope because although I am determined to do this I look ahead at the weeks to come and I really wonder if I will be able to do it when I get there. YAY...so glad that I found some others doing this also...good luck to everyone!

This running thing is new for me too...I am suprised how much I am getting into it! I am really determined to run a 5K. Good luck to both of you who are also doing the program. Lets keep each other up to date on our progress.

I have always bought the Adkins shakes...3 1/2 years post-op and this is still my breakfast of choice

Hey ladies...there has not been any activity on here in a while....how is everyone doing? I am about 2 1/2 years post op and am still trying to loose the last 20-30 pounds. But so far I am down about 90-100 depending on the day. Hope to hear from you all!

I used Care Credit...it was my only option at the time. Surgery amount was $10,500. Interest rate is fixed at 10% and my payments are about $300 per month for 5 years. I am about 2 1/2 years post op and it is the best decision I have ever made for myself. By the time my surgery is paid off I should be more than ready for Full TT and some other things with the help of Care Credit! Good luck!!!
