  1. I'm so relieved to hear that others are back to a "no restriction" feeling. I also feel like I never had surgery--only 2 weeks out! I'm just trying to stay on clear liquids and counting the days til my fill on 3/10. I'd love to hear about anyone else who "can eat anything" without fullness.

    First baby in 40s

I just got my band, so I didn't have it when I had my twins. I just wanted to say hi to you from a another over forty first time mom: I turned 42 just two weeks after my boys were born. Now they are almost 5! (I didn't have any complications and went full term for twins-38 wks). I did have to go through 3 cycles of IVF to get them, so start as early as you can!

    Calling all February Bandsters!

It is so great to read what others have said about their recent bands. I got banded on Tuesday-two days ago. My doc sent me home after about 4 hours in recovery including a barium swallow. The worst pain I've had is from my caffeine withdrawl headache the first evening. I was a bit nauseated and of course, I still have a lot of soreness. My husband took my four year old twins out all day today so I have gotten a lot of rest..'tis wonderful! I have great hope for the future and look forward to following everyone's progress.
  8. For Deniecey--Your post was very encouraging to me. I am going to be banded by Dr. Horgan on 2/12! I've had other surgeries so I'm not to scared, but it I was glad to hear that you had a relatively easy time w/ the Thornton crew. Glad to see that you have a low starting BMI, too. Our goals are very similar.
