I did not get a choice, but he never mentioned the Realize Band in conversation. I just hope I have a good one. I go to the dr tomorrow and I am gonna ask what I have.

My doc said no advil, aleve, ibuprofin or prescription anti-inflammatory drugs ever because of causing erosion or ulcers. -
I worry about the weight gain too once I go to mushies. I am right there with the liquid diet hell. I too was on liquids 2 weeks prior and now 2 weeks after. I am so looking forward to Thursday so I can start mushies. I almost cheated today because I got soooo HUNGRY. I cried a little bit and I was real grumpy today, but now it is over and tomorrow is another day closer to mushies!! Hang in there everyone.

It was very difficult for me too. I would eat a string cheese stick when it got real bad. I did cheat and eat 1 meal a day probably 4 of the 14 days I had to do optifast. Goodluck and hang in there. I did loose 13 lbs on the optifast though.

I did not feel great 4 days post op either. I called my dr and they let me add broth to my diet and let me go back on optifast since there was a variety of flavors vs the optisource. I am now 7 days post op and free really good now. Everyday is a better day. Goodluck.

The pharmacist recommended Miralax but only 1/2 the recommended dose which was 1/2 of the cap full. I took it the 2nd or 3rd day and and it has worked for me so far, but I am still on liquids right now. -

I would love to help you, but I am still on the liquid post diet. I can tell you that they let me add chicken broth and I got FULL off of it yesterday. -

I am not having hardly any pain around the incisions, but i do have pain or cramping most of the time when I drink anything. My doctor says it is ok, but I soon hope it stops. -
Well I was just banded on Friday August 1st. I am not real sure about my decision as of yet. I am aware there is surgical pain , but I was not expecting the stomach pain everytime I drink something. The nurse called the dr Friday before I left the hospital and he said it was not abnormal. So I guess it will soon stop I hope. :biggrin:
