I have been banded 2 years now and I have alot of aspiration back into my lungs, thus causing and infection or pneumonia. My band is not too tight and I am not losing anymore weight. In fact, I haven't lost what I should have because if I tighten my band anymore the aspiration would be worse. Please if you are going through this talk to me.

Thanks Kami, I think this is the best advice I have received yet. After all, it is about a lifestyle change and I think, without realizing it I have relied on the band to do all the work without my help. I will contact my doctor for a small unfill Monday am. CC

Lately I am waking up at night, choking from liquid backing up in my throat. I have aspirated some of this liquid into my lungs. I haven't had an adjustment in months so nothing has changed as far as my fills go. I am losing sleep over this. I am sleeping on an incline but nothing seems to help. Can anywho help me with this. It really has me worried. I have been banded for 11 months with a 61lb weight loss.

Thank you for your suggestions. Makes me feel like I am not alone out there. I will take your advice and talk to my doctor.
