I started back drinking 4 weeks after surgury. My doctor did not tell me about any restrictions regarding drinking. I think its just like any other high calorie choice. They only wanted to be sure I was not still on the pain medication. Thats a norm.

I have trouble with bm since my procedure. Its getting better now after 6 weeks. I have been taking milk of magnesia and some natural capsules to help.........

Only a few of my strips fell off on their own after about 7 days. The others were ugly looking with bandaid marks on my stomach. I pulled the rest of them off (carefully) on my own after day 8 or so.

I had my surgury 12/7/07. I too feel a lump in the middle region between bottom of bra and belly button. I am going in for a fill Monday and will ask questions. It feels hard on the left side where the larger incision is located. Exercising is still uncomfortable. Its been 6 weeks and still I feel pressure on my left side when I exercise. Is this normal?

I have been banded for 6 weeks and I do have random pain around my port area. I attribute it to the healing process. I am going for my first fill on Saturday and am going to talk with my doctor.....sorry no advice...

I also am in lap band hell. I am ashamed to say I ate a pack of Cookies yesterday and today. Unfortunately I was able to. I got banned on 12/7. My first fill is Saturday, 1/26. I can pretty much eat wat I was eating before the banning. My restrictions from healing are OVER>>>

I understand. I too was ashamed to tell my family. I only told my husband; not even my kids. I am 5'9 and 287 pounds. My BMI was right around 39 - 40. I don't look fat because I am so tall; but I am diabetic, my right knee is shot; bone to bone; most of my family ended up on dialysis. I did not want to be one of those statistics. I did lap band and so far have lost 20 lbs. Keep your head up
