    fill

I wait the remainder of the when I have the fill, then begin solids the next day. Unless I don't have my fill until later in the day - then I'll do liquid/mushies the next day and start solids on day 2.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

I've shown disdain for you, "Ron Cusano", not your christianity. I doubt any other christian I've actually had conversations with here have ever been made to feel inferior. That's because I have no judgement for their lives or what they choose to believe -- that's completely up to them. But I do have judgement for how anyone treats anyone else. Which is why I have disdain for you. It wouldn't matter if you were a Buddhist or Wiccan or Satanist or Nihilist... when you treat people the way you have (internet qualifier as a given), you have to expect that not everyone thinks you're a nice guy. (Yeah, that's prophesized, we know, you've already told us 14 times... and no, no one is expecting you to comrpomise your beliefs !! or apologize for believing what you do !! because, again, the element of christianity could be completely removed, and you'd still be the same Ron Cusano) You said atheists hate god, then back tracked and said atheists hate christians, then back tracked again and said "should have said" atheists abhor christians, and are now saying that, generically, atheists display disain for god and christians. Is that "twisting" what you've said, or is that pretty accurate?

    HPV Vaccine

I had lunch with some girlfriends Friday and a discussion about this vaccine came up. I was really surprised - there were 8 of us there. I did not have HPV, and one other did not, and everyone else there did. I knew it was common, but it was really surprising that so many of the people there had it. Definitely one of those, "Wow, when you see it put like this, it's so much more powerful" moments. BTW, of those 6, three are parents. They said they wished it had been available to them, yet weren't sure whether or not they'd give the shot to their children (for the same reasons I stated earlier - too new, been burned by medical fads one too many times, etc) And just for information - I read an article yesterday (can't remember the source, but it was at my internalist's office, so something medically generic) about HPV and circumsized/uncircumsized men. It was interesting b/c my hubby (Scandinavian) is not circumsized. Women who have non-circumsized partners are something like 87% more likely to develop HPV that those whose partners are circumsized. For reasons I wouldn't have thought of, but that make a lot of sense - namely that the uncircumsized penis is more likely to bring a lot more "debris" into the vagina/cervical area.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Allow me to ask again, for the third time. You said atheists hate god, and when I proved you wrong you said I was "nit-picking". So then you changed it to atheists hate christians. So my question is now: Can't you answer the question? In case you conveniently didn't see it, I'll repost: BTW, my parents are christians. And I certainly don't hate them. [...] Do you actually believe [...] That atheists hate christians? Atheists hate most of the country's population? Come on, surely you don't believe that it's a matter of "samantics" when you say atheists hate christians. That's pretty black and white, so if what you're saying is true, then clarify. Don't ignore the question Ron Cusano. Selective responding...tsk tsk.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Really, you insult others' ability to "come up with good ones"? :funnypost: By the way, if you're going to try to insult someone, at least type the insult correctly. Don't type something that supports what they're saying.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Laurend, you forgot stage 4. That's the "how pathetic", "low blow", "would have expected better", "is that the best you got", etc. stage. We'll refer to this as the "I'm rubber, you're glue" period. Remember that one? We've been there a time or two, as well. Wait - "darling" or some other equally creepy remark should be coming pretty soon (but don't rebutt it or you'll be a hypocrite), and then comes the "My faith is being attacked but I won't apologize for my beliefs !!" stage. Come on Ron Cusano, can't you address what was said? You made an absolutely wrong statement about atheists, and "how pathetic, true to form" is your response? What question does that answer? What's pathetic is being wrong, but being so unwilling to admit it that you have to try and throw around your cliche insults to redirect the attention. Can't you answer the question? In case you conveniently didn't see it, I'll repost: BTW, my parents are christians. And I certainly don't hate them. [...] Do you actually believe [...] That atheists hate christians? Atheists hate most of the country's population? You're willing to make the claim. But do you really believe what you're saying? Tommy - excellent point.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

LOL! "Nit-picking" is what you call it when you make a completely wrong statement and someone calls you on it. Ok, I see how that works. Of course, you couldn't just be wrong and have made an inaccurate statement... not the infallible Ron Cusano. You have to turn it into me "nit-picking". You have some awesome defenses in place. Does it make me feel better? No, but I didn't feel bad to begin with. But it shows true colors. Just like how I'm "whinning" when I provide data that unsubstantiates your claims. BTW, my parents are christians. And I certainly don't hate them. So know what you're talking about before you speak. Do you actually believe this stuff that is coming out of your mouth? That atheists hate christians? Atheists hate most of the country's population? I can live my life beyond a book, so I'm nuts. Then again, I can engage in a discussion without having to resort to name calling. If that makes me nuts, then dip me in chocolate and throw me on a sundae!

IMO, nothing chicken about that. It's admirable, and a demonstration of sticking up for your beliefs!

I'm not sure I understand what's happening. Looks like the file is on your hard drive. If that's the case, you need to use the attachment upload function. Using img tags only works for pictures online.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

You just don't get it. Come on Ron Cusano, way back when you started here you were so educational about the difference between atheists and agnostics. Don't you remember your own teachings? Atheists don't believe god exists. You can't hate something you don't believe exists. You can't hate basket weaving abominations with celerey where their hand should be, and Patrick Duffy for a leg. Because they don't exist. So let's see... you're still going to be right somehow. But I'm curious to see how. How is it that people who do not believe god exists, also hate god, that doesn't exist? So now we're nuts? Oh, no, you're not biased or judgemental, you're just stating your opinion, right? And no, I'm not claiming you siad "you're not biased or judgemental, you're just stating your opinion, right?" But I think the idea is there. How is it we're nuts, and you aren't?

"Whinning"? LOL You really can't stand to be wrong, can you? And now I'm whining because I call you on it. That's so cool.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

So now the safe corner is "Can't I have an opinion?" We've been there a time or two before. Sure, you can have an opinion. I belive it was YOUR OPINION I asked for. But when your opinion is racist, and against hard data, you can't expect people to just figure - "that's what he's capable of." Or maybe you can. What do you want -- to voice your opinion, and no one else can voice theirs? Then you need to blog, not messageboard. No one here said you cannot have an opinion. In fact, what I asked for was YOUR opinion, not what you've read or been fed in some other way, shape or form. So cut the crap. You know you can have an opinion. But to verbalize something so ... insert phrase of choice here... and then pull on your "I'm not allowed to have an opinion!" defense...

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Another logical fallacy. It' very admirable when people can admit they're wrong. It earns them a good measure of respect. So far you've done a good job of bypassing and ignoring other posts where you've been called out. Even the best of luck has to stop somewhere.

    My Valentine's Day experience

Valentine's day is also my birthday, so celebrations with DH tend to be a bit half and half, and back and forth between him trying to do my birthday and me trying to do his Valentine's day. I was 31 this year so hubby sent me 31 roses to work (a tradition he has), then picked me up and took me out for lunch. We left work early, stopped by the store and I picked up stuff to make him dinner (fresh crab & lobster alfredo, porterhouse, asiago stuffed mushrooms, etc. - all of his favorites). While things were cooking/baking I made a trip to Priscilla's and got some...accessories. After an amorous night we headed to bed where he had put a little ribboned box on my pillow (which actually ended up being large solitaire earrings that went back b/c they were too big for my ears :girl_hug: -- so he turned around and bought me a new monitor instead men... :faint: )

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Paraphrasing here b/c I have no interest in scrolling pages and pages for actual quotes. Ron Cusano, your intent as read was "most attacks on whites are committed by blacks". Putting a "...or at least that's what the media says" does not innocuate your intention. It's easy to make vicious statements and then try to disown them with "or at least that's what they say" type disqualifiers. Making statements like that says "I don't have a mind of my own, and believe this because it's what I'm told." Do YOU believe that most crimes against whites are committed by blacks? Not "what have you read today", but YOU. What do YOU believe?
  18. Eating fat is what makes you fat, so if you stick to all lean and fat free everything the weight will come right off. (told to me by dietician I saw when I first started to gain weight) Umm, then how come all of our Atkins friends who are eating bacon and cheese every day are losing hundreds of pounds? Removing anything greatly or completely from your diet will result in weightloss, temporarily. Carbs, fats, calories, etc. I believe the myth to be focusing in on any one factor, because I believe all-around moderation, not singularity moderation, is the only key to long-term success.

    columbus ohio lapband surgeon?

MISS banster, my only advice is to advocate for your beliefs/perspectives, regardles of the responses you get, and if any responses are inappropriate, let me or Alexandra know. If you believe a place to be a reputable service provider, then let people know. If that's a minority opinion, it's that much more important, otherwise an alternate opinion may never get out there. Unless it was misread, my message was not "speak bad things about the place."

Ron Cusano, I ws being facetious. Per YOUR statement of "society the tradational, man & women family." Man + women = polygamy. As Laurend said.

So polygamy is now tradition? I love it! :heh: :boy_hug: :girl_hug: :girl_hug: :girl_hug: You said in an earlier post, regarging the race-related crimes, that you didn't know where "they" (me and TOM) got our statistics. I provided my source in my post, but I guess you missed it. My information came from the US Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics.

A little V-Day fun, Pet Names!

Not really a pet name but DH calls me "b". That started as "baby", but with his accent it sounded more like "beahbee", and over the years just shortened to "b". But if he calls me that around others, they always think he's calling me "bee" (as in buzz buzz) and can't figure out why.

    Help:Biking for the sensitive rump

I bought one of those grandma style seats with gel butt cheek inserts. I'm pretty sue that's the technical name for them. Or you could always strap a thick towel around the seat. I'm sure that wouldn't have anyone wondering what the heck was up...
  24. Hi and welcome! You say: And my advice is - don't wait for someone else to make it happen. From your introduction, you know this already. If you can schedule it yourself, do. If you cannot, give the office no peace until they get it done. It's fair to expect your surgeon and his staff to serve as your advocate and assist you in getting things done that they're supposed to help with anyway. So stop being nice, and get your appointment so you can kick some major weightloss booty!

    columbus ohio lapband surgeon?

JohnnyMobs, welcome to the site. I see you're fairly new, and hope you will find this a valuable resource as so many of our other members have. I don't think many of our members forget why this site exists, seeing how they're here. And perhaps telling someone to re-evaluate their motives for being here isn't the best way to remember what the spirit of the board is intended to be. If someone has reservations about a particular clinic, and felt a word of caution to be in order, would it be in good conscience or altruism to withhold that opinion? My guess is no. We have constant opinions voiced here - see that surgeon, don't see that surgeon, go to Mexico, don't go to Mexico, talk to this person, don't talk to this person. That doesn't mean that because someone posts a cautionary prompt about a place you happen to be affiliated with, that they or their messages are "incapable" of being helpful. BTW, what the poster posted was subjective. Perhaps you meant to say they have stopped being objective? Yeah, once a person has experience with a place or program, they're going to stop being objective about it - by definition, so you have to expect some subjectivity there. So let's focus on helping, and enjoy the board.
