Is there a site that you post what you eat for the day
Firecallie posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Or something similar to that...an accountablity thing that someone knows about. I've decided to start one and i prefer the computer over pencil and paper. -
Congratulations! That is FANTASTIC. Keep it up.

I don't sip either...but I just got my fill yesterday and am waiting for restriction.

any one ever cheat on liquid phase?
Firecallie replied to Nugent72197's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Try to get frozen strawberries and a protien powder and blend them with ice. I now love my morning shake (and i am the last person who would ever say that). I did start eating soft foods too soon and have not lost much weight as a result of it. Just got my fill and am struggling through the liquid phase again. Good luck! -
Being on liquid and what not. Does it acheive more restriction? Is it to give your stomach a break or what? thanks

Check with Dr. Jayaseelan. He has a few locations aka fill centers and they are great. Look him up on google for the number.

3 months since surgery and still NO period
Firecallie replied to lovecats85's topic in The Gals' Room
Lucky you...i got mine about a week after surgery. BLEH But i understand the worry part of it. -
What is the purpose of going to liquids after a fill?
-
Unfortuantly I have to wait until the first of the year for my first fill. I want it now but i will enjoy Christmas
-
Mine is superficial...but my scale HAS NOT MOVED within 3 pounds up and down since I was banded. So my goals are... To lose 5 pounds before my first fill (January 4th) To buy and ride a bike around the lake with my friends at least 1x every 2 weeks.

That happens to me too, if i over eat then I become dully aware of my port, I was worried to, but haven't mentioned it to anyone. I think it's fine still healing and what not.
-
That's crazy, I had mine 2 weeks post op.

How did you feel immediately after surgery?
Firecallie replied to fatgirlnomore's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well i hated the groggy feeling right after surgery but since I got in the car and got home I was fine. I mean a bit tight but I had NO problems I walked alot drank water and ate popsicles alot, did my breathing excersises ect. I didn't need to take any of my pain medicine or gas medicine though I had them both on hand. I think the worst part of me was sleeping for about 3 nights I was very restless and uncomfortable. Woke up every 2 hours and was miserable (even then it wasn't horrible). Goodluck! -

What about a get together in Shreveport
Firecallie replied to ladysplenda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That would be fun. I :X shreveport. No friends there though. -
I was searching for a post just like me and i've found it. Eating less, eating better not losing at all. IT'S SO FRUSTRATING. Do you have an update for us?
-
no i'm right there with you. I haven't lost since 3 days post op. It makes me MISERABLE. It makes me think that since i'm not losing weight anyway I might as well eat whatever I want. Which in turn makes me MISERABLE. I can't wait until my first fill.

This is not good, today I completely blew it. I'm only supposed to be on MUSHIES and went as far as having chips today and a fish sandwinch from McDonalds...and some onion rings, I have WAY over eaten. It has been FOREVER since I felt out of control and then today I said to myself "you haven't lost weight since 3 days after your surgery so dieting isn't helping eat whatever you want". Now I feel terrible. My mom is finally out of the hospital *which is good news* but that's the only good news I seem to have. What are the chances of my band slipping because I did not follow post diet orders? Would I feel anything? Now i'm worried, upset at myself and in a generally lousy (and that's the nice word) mood and have already tried eating to make myself feel better and it has since had the opposite effect.

I love my protein shakes now. I blend ice strawberries and protein (in french vanilla flavor powder). It is great!
-
I'm 3 weeks post op and feeling back to 100% (cant tell that i have had surgery in fact). I am wanting to go to the gym and work out but I don't know how far I can push myself. Can I get my heart rate up and everything? Treadmill, elipticals ect?
-
Seeing as how it melts would it be considered legal on the liquid phase of the diet?

How much could you eat right after you were banded?
Firecallie posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am less than two weeks out and it's almost as if my band isn't really in there. I know it is but my appetite has returned in full force and I get no feeling from the band at all whether I eat 1/2 cup of thick soup or 2 cups of thick soup (which i came close to at dinner tonight). Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Do I have anything to be worried about? -
Lisa, that is FANTASTIC! Whatever your doing keep it up. That is definatly something to be proud of.

Anwyn, your post has inspired me. Since realizing that I was not losing weight I changed my mindset for the worst. I started thinking that since I wasn't losing anyway I could eat however I wanted (even went to mushies when I should still be on liquid) because nothing was happening anyway. That is a bad way to start and a bad attitude. I'm signing up on your thread that I am going to do 1 3 5 every day. Get back to the excersizing when the doc says it's okay and go from there. You don't need luck you've got all you need right there inside of you! Work it!
