Hey Honey!! We are on line at the same time. I'm feeling wonderful!!!! Everyday gets better!! Yes.. I do have the rumbling, but it has slowed down tremendously!! Thank god, cuz it got ridiculous. Boys are doin fine... I really didnt share the procedure too much w/ my family... I told my mom, dad & sister, but no one outside the immediate family. Just feel this is a private thing. I don't want people gawking at me every time I pick up something to eat. I never told my husbands family, cuz they are like news reporters~!! LOL The people at work know I had it done, and they guys are already making comments.. Like omg.. We can tell already that you have lost weight!! (kinda annoying) and saying things like i'm gonna leave my husband once i'm thin.. which is sooo left field, not even funny. I know they are being nice and all, but I dont like the attention. (especially from the guys at work) How about you??? Did you tell your family??? How much are you down since surgery??? Please do tell!

Hey Mariah... soooo happy to hear from you girl!! I didn't' realize you had responded to my messages. The Rubbling is crazy!!!!! Even my dogs would back off my lap.. LOL cuz they got scared!! It does get better. I'm one week out... and feeling soooo much better. Today was the best day! I think your body has to get use to the fact it's only takin in liquids. We'll both be skinny minnies before you know it. It was great hearing from you, and Keep intouch Girl!!! xoxo Lucy

I called the Dr. yesterday, and she wanted to see me. She says the pain I'm feeling is not surgery related!! It was muscular... So I musta screwed up my shoulder and neck some how... I asked her if maybe they dropped me off the surgery table by any chance.. LOL I took Tylenol w/ codeine last nite, and i'm actually feelin lil better today. (Thank God). As for feeling full on liquids.... I think it's really mental. My band is not filled, and wont bee for another 5 weeks. They want everything to heal before they tighten. me up. I'm doing ok on my liquids. I do my 3 protein drinks a day.. one in the morning, lunch and after dinner... and for dinner i have broth... or Lipton's cup of soup creamy chicken broth, is really good!!!I like eating something warm at night. I have crystal light w/ my water bottle at all times... so I'm drinkin about 64 oz aday. I kinda have accepted I have to do this... and the thoughts of being hungry just leave you. You give yourself no choice!!!! I just hope these feelings stay w/ me for a very very long time.. LOL... Take care! Lucy

I'm on liquids right now... but I had to go to the Dr about this pain I'm having in my shoulder and neck. I couldn't even move this morning!! Dr thinks it's muscular... and has nothing to do w/ surgery. So we'll see. Keep me posted. Lucy

Hi MSG's... No.. It's not a bed of roses for all of us... or how some people put it. I must say that the recovery part is going well, quick, and not alot of pain. From a scale of 1-10... pain where the incisions are are like a 3.... from the gas pain... like an 8!!! Thats really the only tough part. Other then that, I pretty much was a scardycat for nothing.... Plus I had a Hiatel Hernia that needed to be repaired, that I didn't even know I had. But I'm hanging in there. Mariah... you copyin me girl??? LOL I can't believe you had the Hiatel Hernia too! I'm feelin a lil better today.... just have this pain in my shoulder and neck... (Pain in the neck,hahaha) I'm looking forward to the brighter days.... Trust me. I'm still on my liquids.. and my mouth keeps getting funky.. .dry.. cotton feeling.... not sure what to do about that part... Glad to hear you're feelin better. Keep in touch!! xoxo

Hey Jrzy.. Can't believe I did it! Having a rough time also. I had a hiatel Hernia that i had no idea I had and he fixed it, so my recovery may take a lil longer. I have GAS GALLOR!!!!!!! Can't seem to get rid of it. No matter how much I walk. It's stuck in my upper left shoulder & neck... Using a heating pad, but the only relief i get is w/ Liquid Tylenol. I cant wait till this all passes!!!! Take care!! Lucy

When were you banded? I was banded on April 16th, and I also had a hiatal hernia!! I still have severe neck and left shoulder pain. It comes and goes. Ive been using a heating pad, in hopes that it helps!! You are the first person I came across w/ the same situation!! I hope you are feeling better, and i wish you best of luck!!

Hey Marisa, I'm having my surgery at Mountainside Hospital. How about you? Who's your Doctor? I'd love to be your Bandster Buddy!! I'm really nervous! How about you? I'm trying to keep as busy as possible not to think about it. How are you feelin? Trust me on the Zicam Rapid Melts.... they are chalky tasteing, and drys your mouth out.. but they work! Also, the Coldeez lozengers help also. The last thing I want to be is sick during surgery!!! and have a cough! After the 2nd day of taking them I was fine. I even have my hubby taking them, so he doest get me sick either!! Chasing my kids w/ Lysol spray... LOL I know, I'm a nut, but I just don't want to get sick! Let me how your doing!!
