    Low Weight Loss?

Everybody does loses at a different rate. I had my surgery Jan 8 and lost 40lbs by March. It is now July and I am at the same 40lbs. At first I was discouraged and then I realized at least I am not gaining. What I can tell you is exercise can make the difference. My nutritionist made one big suggestion and although you may feel like you can not exercise much, weights, even light ones are great. Stop comparing yourself and keep trying your hardest.
  2. i apologize for the typo's. I was trying to say as bad as it seems is that- are head is saying one thing and the band is saying another but we need to concentrate to accomplish our goals.
  3. i was banded last month on 1-8. is band as it sounds it the head telling you your hungry and the stomach some. try not to cocentrate on it much. rememeber you want to lose. Try to focus on drinking your water. in the beginning i would read these threads every few minutes. it wasn't until i saw someone suggestion of isopure whey water that has 40 grams of protein and 160 cal with for 20 0z. that is at least 1/3 rd of your 64 oz and it keeps you full. If you don't like the flavor muslce milk makes a similiar one i like that one better. and don't look at the calories remember your not eating but you need your protein. The hunger eventually goes away. And to anwey the feeling of fullness in the shoulder and other areas those are your new signals. the funny thing for me i used to drink coffee all the time i don't even desire it anymore

  5. today was my 1st post op visit. I was banded january 8th and I lost 20lbs. It is will power but you can do it. I notice when i drink alot of propel or eat diet Jello i tend to be full. My first 2 weeks i was living on cottage cheese, beans pureed in blender, yogurt and healthy choice Soups. If you like split pea theirs is good or put other soups like chunky in a blender. Today i asked the nutritionist if it was alright with eating mashed potatoes and she said yes. Another suggestion is looking online for unjury( which is a bari site) and order their unflavored Protein and putting it into your soups. good luck its hard but it's worth it
