just a side note sis....wow, you can sure tell we are related! I just noticed that I picked the exact same ticket tape as you!! I never looked at yours at all before I went to the site. I just found the link and went there to view them, saw the one I liked the most and clicked on it...now I see you have the same one! It's amazing how we think alike at times. LOL On Doctors....since the Dr that is here in my area Taught your DR, and I just found out that he is also the same Dr that did Dyan's gall bladder surgery, I am going to give him a try. If I don't like it there, then I will go to see your DR. I have to be comfortable with the drive time or I know myself, I won't go. I hate all the traffic and crazy roads. Even you have your husband drive you, so you know what I mean. I'm more comfortable driving around here since I will be alone all the time when I go. Someone with experience is important to me. When is your first fill?

HI Rap! We haven't had an update in awhile! how are you doing? how is the hunger? I need your inspiration to keep me on the straight and narrow. I am going to a seminar this month. I think the scariest part of me is giving of my friend, food. It's going to be hard to let go, but I know getting thinner is much better and healthier. hope to hear from you soon!

sis, are you staying over night at the hospital? I'm pretty sure you are, just forgot to ask earlier. What time is your surgery? Today is Wednesday, just one more day and you are on your way to a great new body! I'm so happy for you! I can't wait to hear your story and see the results. Are you keeping a blog about it all?? if not, please do. I am going to need it when it is my turn to get the band! I'm not afraid of the surgery at all. We've both had C-sections, and it is't anything like that kind of pain, but what I am afraid of is the feeling of being sick alot...the burps and saliva stuff....ewww.. I hope I'm one of those that doesn't have a problem getting stuff down, but you know our luck..... Good Luck to you sis, I'm praying for you and thinking of you always! Luv Ya!

HI Julia! I live around 10 and Little Mack, so this Dr. Hawasli would be so close that I could walk to him! Do they do the fills at his office or in the hospital? In researching Dr. Hawasli, it seems he was one of the founding fathers of the laprosopic surgeries!! It seems like he's done alot of them also. Did you like the office staff, they way you were treated, ect...? I have BC/BS for insurance, so they should take me at the SJH, right? How are you feeling? progessing? would you do it again? thanks! HI Everyone! I'm new to this forum, and yes, just starting my journey. The only decision I have made is that I am definite about it being the lap-band. I have read enough that I know that this is the one for me. Plus, I know a couple people that have had this surgery. Now, my next step is researching to find a surgeon in my area. Anyone in the Roseville/St. Clair Shores/Warren area? I know I can drive to Port Huron, but if I can find something closer that is just as good, then I prefer to do that. thanks for your help!

HI everyone! I'm new here. I live in Roseville, (hello eastsiders!) I'm researching surgeons and I'm wondering why it seems no one here has used the Dr.s in St. Clair Shores, which are out of St. John Hospital? Do they have a bad rep? They are practically in my back yard, so it would be so practical for me to use them, but not if they are not a good team. It seems most here opt to go to Port Huron or into Detroit? Just wondering why?? would love to chat with anyone that can help me thru this process. Thank you!
