    Is eating breakfast important?

This. And if 82% eat breakfast - what are the other 18% doing? In the end you don't know if you're in the 82% group or in the 18% group. You simply have to try what works best for you.

    Gaining weight back

I don't. --- However, one can't order people to write in a certain way as long as they don't violate the board rules. If her style is bothering you, put her on ignore.
  3. "How did you get rid of that toothache?" "Oh, I took a lot of pain killers, slept a lot and took an antibiotic for a few days! It was hard, but I got rid of it." "Oh, wow! Great! Maybe I can get rid of my toothache this way, too!" "Thank you!" (Of course I kept that tooth extraction surgery to myself, haha!) --- Can't really imagine this scenario but after reading this thread I'm no longer so sure...
  4. It's the responsibility of the treatment team to decide if a patient is eligible or not. I don't know about the insurance system in the US but I doubt that insurance office workers in the US have the necessary knowledge to decide if a patients needs to be "protected" from their own decisions or not or if he/she is eligible for surgery or not. What's next? An insurance office worker deciding if therapy option A for treating a cerebral aneurysm is a better choice for the patient than therapy option B?
  5. Insurance companies want to save money and nothing else. They're definitely not protecting patients. If they only wanted to protect patients the whole process would be different, e. g. you would have to go to certain classes and appointments and after a waiting period of e. g. 6 months you would be guaranteed to get the procedure if you still want it.

    Electronic weight loss program recommendations?

    CRON-O-Meter
  7. Amen to that. I think it's sad that people feel the need to lie about/hide their surgery when asked about how they lost weight like it's a dirty little secret. Most people won't believe this whole "diet and exercise" schlock anyway.

I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

That's what your surgeon told you? Yeah, these evil bananas, apples, pears, oats and beans make and keep people fat. Right. I absolutely hate it when people generalize these sort of things, especially when so called "pros" are doing it.

    Clothing Sizes

I buy at the store where they carry the kind of clothes I like to wear. I don't care if I wear an S, M or L so I can't relate to taht. I think it's super annoying that sizes vary from brand to brand, e. g. Odlo seems to run rather large, Endura medium and Gore extra small. I recently got a Gore running shirt for winter, thick and with a hoodie and it's an XL - it fits perfectly not only in width but also when it comes to the length of the sleeves and I'm only 167 cm! Now compare that to the Endura bike jacket I got in S this autumn.

    I've Fallen Off!!!

What exactly were you eating when you were losing weight? What are you eating now?
  11. So this is more of a body image issue than anything else maybe and might have little to do with your friend's remarks. Ignore it. Work on your body image. Anything you will say to them about this issue will most likely be seen as offending anyway.

I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

I also got to that part but my first thought was "Holy crap, she can eat a lot!" - and these are not your typical "slider foods". If she doesn't spread it out over an hour or longer I'd say the amount is quite a lot. That cheeseburgers, fries and coke are not a good choice for various reasons (regardless of how fat or thin a person is), that's another story.
  13. I would have told any psych anything to get approved. Of course the sagging skin sucks. Of course other things surgery related suck - but it's still better than having a BMI of 46. Was I "ready for surgery"? Was I "prepared"? Actually I don't care if I was and I think that there are certain things you "can't be prepared for", this includes WLS. You will only know if you were "ready" if you can cope after surgery.

    Too much scar tissue

Hm, double post again... No idea why.

    Too much scar tissue

I had a similar problem when they cut out the band. Lots and lots of scar tissue. The band had also already started to migrate. I had to wait, too, and was devastated because the surgeon said it was too risky to do MGB in the same session.

3 days out and I broke

It won't be the last time. You can mostly eat that stuff again once your stomach has healed. --- If it will make a difference I don't know. Gut feeling says "no" because I didn't even have a pre-op diet but then again I didn't have a large liver and I don't know how much of a difference to liver size the pre-op diet really makes. How long was your pre-op diet?

    Why is it a secret?

People tend to do this when it comes to fat people, regardless if the person had WLS or not. Somehow it's a crime when a fat person eats chocolate but perfectly acceptable if a thin person does eat the same amount of chocolate or even more of it.

Depends on the topic. There are certain "hot irons" that are better not to be touched. Regain or revisions being two of them.

    Why is it a secret?

The problem is: you're going to get them anyway.
