I have been in the hospital for the past week with an abscess inside my incision but they didn't want to drain it because its smaller... now after the daily antibiotics it shrunk. They said it could have came from a micro leak because there is no sight of a leak right now. And it closed itself or contained itself. So who had an abscess without a leak and did it leave without drainage? ?? Thank you

Food has suckeed the whole time.. bout to get another ct to see if the abscess shrunk.. so I'm physically feeling better but I can't eat without pain or discomfort until the abscess is cleared. I have been for the past 2 months

I am living overseas and Dido my sleeve and currently writing from the hospital. I had my surgery Jan 14th and lost 41 pounds. I have been in the hospital past 6 days... I was in excruciating pain in my chest and back left side. I screamed my way to the hospital. They found an abscess which is basically pus filled infection inside my incision but they won't drain it because it's not big enough been on antibiotics.. All the pain went away except for the feeling in my incision. So I'm miserable too

I wanna keep it short(try) I am an American who gotslaved in Jordan while I am living in Saudi Arabia! Yes u heard me right. Today is 2 months post op. Yesterday was the third time I had this pain I'm going through. .first week of post sleeve then 5th week and now 8th week it lasts for 4 to 5 days. It start out with constricted esophagus right at the incision between the breasts.. then my heart feels painful and heavish then I get a slight fever not too bad but enough where my whole body aches and I get cold. (I have 2 take pain pills) this only takes the chills and aches in my body away. NOT the chest or esophagus. I have been 2 doc but long story short.. u have to be smart on what time u go to the er and have to look like ur dying! !so I got over the pain myself. . But now it's back I will go to the emergency at 6 am tomorrow bcuz that's the best time. But does anyone know what this could be. It goes away if I am on liquids for a few days and rest. It's literally one specific place in my esophagus (between breasts ) and once Water or food goes down and passes that specific place it feels forced and hurting where I close my eyes or clench my hands until it passes. Is my esophagus too narrow? And causing inflammation? I'm soooo scared cuz I don't fully trust these ppl although they have everything.. I may have to pay a lot of money to western doctor here to feel comfortable enough. Sorry it's long this is depressing. I never felt this sad ever. I got 2 kids. . I want this to go away! !!

Thank you guys for replying. . It made me happy to see your responses!I have been in the hospital for the past 3 days. Our hospital is one of the best. It's called national guard in riyad. Saturday :pain was unbearable..on my back and my heart.. I was screaming it was that bad. Not the stomach the back and chest. Rushed to the ER. Got admitted immediately.got ct scan found abyss in my incision between the breasts. I was on a fast since being here.they tried to do leak test and feed me through a tube but I was so nauseous from one of their pain killers I just ended up throwing everything up and screamed take this crap out and they did because it felt like it was suffocating me. so Final thing they said tonight now that I'm not throwing up. They told me they will do the leak in the morning and if it is a leak they will tube feed me and fix it with a Stent. I asked the doc.. what if it isn't he said it must be because the infection usually means it's a leak. He scared the heck out of me. I can't explain but I don't feel much in my tummy except sometimes heartburn or the sore incision. Why can't it just be a infection? So I messaged my surgeon in Jordan who everyone goes to and is just very experienced. I'm thinking if it is indeed a leak I will leave the Saudi hospital take a flight down there and have him fix me. What do u guys think? He cares more also. The antibiotics has taken the pain away for about 80 % so I was thinking to not put my trust in their hands even if they are good. I'm apprehensive. . And does anyone know if u could just have an abyss without a leak? Please don't mind my writing and I made this a lot simpler than it was this was easily one of the most drained and painful times. (Not my organs only chest and back)

Hi my fellow sleevers!! I am 5 weeks post op and I woke up with an excruciating pain th3 other but it we t away after 50 deathly groans on my bed sweating. That's not even 2 hat I wanna ask u about. . After that crazy unpredictable episode I have been having this pain which is the same pain I had for at 7 days after surgery. Ok the best way to describe it is someone squeezes the inside of my stomach while poking them with needles and as that's happening the pain shoots all the way up to my throat. It last for 5 Seconds then subsides only to come back after 1 minute. It seems to get less by lying down but I can feel it's evil sneaky self trying to creep back up but can't. Lol please take your time to tell me what it could be. My sleeved friend said I know 2 what this is I took this meds and it goes away. English isn't her first language so I'm not sure ...I need u guys! Yes it's new for now but was there first week of surgery. . I can't talk until it passes.

They also said I was dehydrated and gave me iv as well as something to help with my sudden nausea.I came ho.e at 1 am only to throw him phlegm looking stuff basically nothing. And hurts to drink again and I also have a fever cuz my daughter had a bad cold and now I got it. I'm just miserable. . Just as I thought things were getting better. .

Ok so that extreme pain went away after I wrote this post but now I have gas pains in chest and under my breast area...I wasn't eating before this happened. I was drinking only. I went to the ER..somehow in this country the ER is packed. Doc just said this is typical to have gas pains. I said I haven't had gas pains since day 6 and now it's back?? It hurts to drink like the first 2 weeks too. I'm 5 weeks post op. Surgeon said I can eat solids at 5 weeks but I decided to wait till 6 weeks and all of a sudden this happens. Can it be from not goin to the bathroom this week? Could it be bcuz I used to get gassy and bloated easily pre surgery?

Hi there lovelies! I have been sleeved on the 13th of January and so far lost 23 pounds. I am in the pureed phase now and for the past 3 days I have stayed at 220.8. I'm such a rookie I'm not sure if it's too early for that or I should be doing something different. Isn't it too early for the "stall" thing to start??

Amazing results! I am almost 3 wwwks post op and started at 243 and I'm 5'10.

I had lemon water couple times. I am actually drinking pineapple and orange juiced in my juicer right now. Only my second time so far but I feel fine with it. 2 weeks post op.I haven't had any restrictions on that. What's wrong with it?

I am an American living in Saudi Arabia for the past 2 years. My husband found an amazing opportunity here. So here I am after 2 years of living here and I decide to get the surgery. I have been battling alot of back pain and I was clearly overweight. I lied to myself over and over about my weight because I am 5ft 10. Everyone seems to compliment me and say how pretty I am and I shouldn't worry because I'm tall. So one day my neighbor told me her and her husband got it done but to not tell a soul. SHe is an Arab professional and she recommended her doctor and had advised me to do my own research. I made an appt with the doctor for the following month which was January 13th 2016. My husband and I talked about it and he looked at me and said,"if this will make you happier healthier and take this pressure off then let's do it" we prayed about it and then did it. We paid 6000 u.s dollars from our pocket. Can you say cheap? They were very nice people. They treated me with auch kindness. recovery was a nightmare the first 5 days but it got better. I'm having other difficulties now but maybe I should put it in a different post. I weight in at surgery at 243 I am now 221. In only 14 days!! Woohoo

Yes exactly that!!!except I have Noone that checks up on me except the follow up. So the nutritionist doesn't come in unless I need to ask something. I get my water for the most part but not my protejn (it makes me nauseas somedays) like someone else said here I'm pretty alone as far as accountability. I use all the support groups online as a crutch. Thank god and my friend and her husband since they have been sleeved 4 months ago. So far so good. Hope it gets better though.

Thanks so much guys. Yes I was well informed prior to surgery and didn't have to do the preop liquid diet. So I had that one last meal as if I was on death row. It was great. I have a nutritionist and I just follow up with the doctor here. Thank god the hospital I have insurance for is the best one in saudi arabia. I just didn't do my surgery with them because it was double the price and jordan is only an hour and a half away.????

Thanks so much guys. Yes I have a nutritionis. I went to an informative class day before surgery but I already knew alot. I didn't have to do any preop diets. So I literally had one last meal the day before. The Dr has been a surgery for 20 years with no known fatalities and he was great.
