Crying on the bathroom floor
CaitlinT replied to White Sale's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is the first of many stalls you are going to go through. Alot of times when you are "stalling" you will notice inches lost. The stalling part sucks but, you will continue to lose. You also have a lower BMI so, your weightloss might be slower.... keep that in mind if you notice other people losing fast then you. You will lose though!!???? It sounds like maybe you are taking too big of drinks... are you post op? Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

I am like you and I do not get held down for long. I healed very quickly from my csections and I am 4 days post op from sleeve surgery and could definitely do a desk job. The discomforts are similar to csections. If you have a job where you are on your feet all day... Inwould think twice about doing so. Remember to get your fluids and proteins in... that has been the hardest for me! Good Luck!

CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS
CaitlinT replied to Tresa Embil's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I joined the losers bench on July 5th! I had a reaction to anesthesia which set me back a few day. Inwas unable to keep anything down until Thursday afternoon. I was released Thursday evening. I was so greatful to sleep in my own bed. I have not had to have any painkillers since Thursday morning when I was still vomiting. My stomach does ache a bit when walking and with the gas pains. Inhabe tried gas-x with minimal relief. Walking is what is helping me most. So far, I have average 24 oz of fluids since release from the hospital. Because I was so ill, I did not use anything thing I brought. I had blurred vision until today. I went home in the clothes I came in. I am feeling pretty good today!! Glad you are doing well Shaunie. The anesthesia did not sit well with me either. I ended up very sick and couldn't keep anything down until yesterday afternoon. Since my nausea wasn't as bad they went ahead and discharged me. I am doing ok at home, trying to get all my fluids in. Are you getting in the whole 64oz of fluids yet? I am only managing around 10oz. ???? Good luck to everyone!! Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

Can't believe I switched! Lol We went back to my home state and my sister inlaw had RNY about 10 years ago..... she looked very unhealthy, she is 45 and looks 80. So, my husband immediately started doing research and said no way are you having that. You can do the sleeve but, I will not support you for RNY. Just remember if you are ingesting more calories, excercise more... better to not do weights though... muscle weighs more then fat! Have you called your nurse navigator and asked? We are most there!! 10 days! Woohooo!! Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

Hi Shaunie!! It is great to meet you! One of my biggest fears was malnutrition. I was set on RNY after alot research. However, my husband decided to do additional research and he said no way because of that. So, I just switched to Sleeve. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

I can't wait to be able to ride a normal bicycle with normal tires with my children!! I also look forward to buying normal sized clothing too. I am going to enjoy being able to do all the things my children want to do and be able to do it with them. I am a very active Mom even though I have the excess weight but, there are alot of things like ride the bike on a normal sized tire, ride amusement park rides, go in a paddle boat without it being totally lop sided, go on a long hike up the mountains where we live, etc. I love spending time with our children and can't wait to do all things with them!! My first surgeon's office told me I was required to have a 6 month diet. I called insurance and they said I did not because of all my previous attempts and co-morbities. My plan actually states I just needed to have followed a 6 month diet in the last 2 years. Fast foward a couple months, I decide to call another surgeon and they get me right in.... they submit to insurance and I get an approval 24 hours after all paperwork is submitted! The 1st center still tried to tell me yesterday that I require a 6 month diet. I was happy to tell them I do not need their services anymore. I think what happens is, the centers want to charge you for pre op diets for 6 months!! Good luck!! Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

Yay for another kiwi! yes I'm on the pre op diet. I found yesterday hard too. I am finding the sugar withdrawal is really tricky to manage too. Wow...that's exciting! You're only a few days after me! That's awesome! It is exciting and scary at the same time!! Lol I can relate to the to the hungry brain and sugar withdrawl!! The sugar withdrawl is soooo hard!! However, we are on a road trip today and I needed some caffiene pick me up.... I purchased my 2nd fav soda (dr pepper) took one sip and it was gross!! ???????????? Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App Yeah, it's amazing how quick taste changes giving up sugar. I gave it up for a couple of months about a year ago and after the withdrawal and Craving stopped I was amazed at how much better I felt and how much more flavoursome everything was. Things I didn't think we're that sweet originally tasted sickly sweet. Unfortunately I let it creep back in and was soon back to my old sugary ways. It is soooo easy to do that too!! I have cut out sugar a few times and then slipped back into the sugar craving slopes. Which has brought me to gastric bypass surgery. :-) Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App Same here! I'm secretly hoping for dumping syndrome in a strange way to keep me away from the sugary things! Lol.I am too!! Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App -
