Just had surgery Monday and I guess because of all the water I was given through my IV ?? I have gained 6 pounds !!! Everytime they weighed me at the hospital I weighed more.

Mine took me off the IV the second day because I was drinking so much water and walking around "too much"... it's interesting how everyone's experiences are a bit different. I'm definitely not focusing TOO much on the weight loss though and just doing the scale once a week because of the issues with my head (pseudotumor...) which is why I had the surgery in the first place, luckily I haven't had any real issues with that though and feel pretty good... though it's only been a week to be fair. lol. Good luck and as I understand it, many of these odd things are actually normal.

yeah, I gained 7 lbs of water weight in the hospital. By the end of the first week, though, it was completely gone. I think while we are trying to adjust to getting enough fluids in that first week or so, the extra fluids they gave us in the hospital help keep us from getting dehydrated Just stick to your plan to heal and make sure you get in plenty of fluids and you should be fine. Water is your friend!
