    February 2016 sleevers?

I had a hard time because of hunger and tiredness the first two days. Wednesday and Thursday weren't as hard but I was still hungry. Today I had a harder time because there was a Superbowl Party right behind my desk, but I have fantastic friends that brought veggies and low fat dip and a strawberry salad. I had raw veggies with a little dip and a salad with some raspberry vinaigrette. Not too much sugar and I didn't veer far off the path too far. I had a shake an hour ago because I stay hungry! Do the best you can. It's a struggle but you can do it!

    February 2016 sleevers?

Day four of the diet and I can't believe that I have made it this far. I know that sounds so stupid but I didn't realize how much I was going to miss coffee and my peanut butter wheat toast in the morning. I am such a creature of habit! Although I have more energy, I still would give my left arm for a good cup of coffee! Oh well, all in due time. I tried a cup of decaf, and that was just pointless. 11 more days of this!
  3. I can't imagine why a physician would ask for cash if they work for a hospital. Can you give them a cashiers check? That might be a better option.

    February 2016 sleevers?

Third day on diet so much better. I went to bed around 9ish last night and woke up this morning around 6:00a.m. I usually go to sleep around 11pm and wake up at 5:30, so my body must have needed the rest. I had a shake for breakfast and I am eating a Subway salad for lunch with lemon and a little balsamic on the side. The preop diet gets a little easier. I have had headaches from the caffeine withdrawal but they are getting better, and I wasn't as tired this morning.

    February 2016 sleevers?

I went to sleep at 8:30 last night after a hot bubble bath, a Protein shake, and preparing Soup for tonight's meal. My husband has taken over the kids homework (we usually work in tandem) and making dinner for the 3 of them. I work for a company that buys groceries and we got some samples in of Quest Protein powders (individual packs and different packaging) that will hit the shelves end of February. They have a salted caramel is simply the best. I wish it was available now. I can't hardly stomach strawberry powder because of the smell. I am definitely going to enjoy having some soup tonight. I walk with friends 1 mile in the morning and 1 mile in the afternoon and I find myself not being able to keep up. I sure hope the tiredness ends soon. That's the worst part of this diet, well that and the lack of coffee! Only 13 more days to go!

    February 2016 sleevers?

I'm scared too, but after reading all the notes from people that say they would do it again in a heartbeat, I feel a little better. My Dr. is wonderful as well so he did put me at ease. My biggest concern is waking up but he told me that shouldn't even be a concern. Just think how wonderful it will be even in 2 months. We can do this!

    February 2016 sleevers?

Okay, 1st day of pre op diet (surgery is 02-15) and although it's not bad, I am exhausted. I knew that caffeine was going to kick my butt. I have been off sodas for a while but my cup of coffee in the morning is what I am missing the most! I am going to puree' some roasted asparagus with some chicken broth (add some protein) and make a Soup when I get home, then it's shower and bed. My husband has been so supportive through all this so I feel very blessed. I am concerned about how much pain there might be afterward. I got all my prescriptions filled this weekend and had a liter of Hydrocodone w/Acetaminophen prescription. It sure seems like a lot of pain medicine. Hopefully, I won't have to use it all?

    February 2016 sleevers?

I don't have to start my diet until February 1st but OMG this is going to be hard. I had a practice run yesterday and fell off the wagon. It was a small slip, but a slip nonetheless and I am sure it's because I know in the back of my mind it is a practice run. I need to have more vegetables on hand. I am going do lot of prep work with salads and veggies this weekend (make some spaghetti squash with garlic salt and Pam and some seasoned baked Kale chips) and I have plenty of protein powder, Isopure drinks, and broth on hand. I am getting more intimidated by this 2 week diet than the procedure itself!

    February 2016 sleevers?

My surgery is Feb. 15th. I start my pre op diet 02-01. I am excited, nervous, and scared. My main concern is the pre op diet. It's liquids and vegetables.
