2 of my sisters had GB 1 ate healthy always and the other was eating macaroni noodles and meat with sauce 2weeks out and eats junk food everyday. The 1st sister lost over 200lbs and has kept it off now 6 years later while the other has lost only 98lbs. I'm sure that we should stick to the guidelines given by the Dr and Nut. But asking questions is totally normal -

List of Bariatric Nutritional Companies offering free samples! - UPDATED
MsB7 replied to tashamitchell06's topic in Food and Nutrition
Thank you so much for this post! -
Thanks everyone. It seems that the Flintstones Complete are very popular [emoji4] I don't want to take too many things but I thought I would have to take calcium and B12 as well. I will see what the NUT class for Surgery advises me as well. Thanks again everyone. Have a Wonderful day Blessings

I was told that I need A complete vitamin like Flintstone Complete or Centrum Chewable 2x daily. I feel like I should be taking something more. No chewy or gummy vitamins at all. He did not say anything about Calcium however I have to take a class and they go over everything else. So my question is what are you guys taking and where is the best place to get them. Please let me know if it is Liquid or Chewable or Pill form also please let me know what you guys were taking in the beginning verses months later. Also do Patches work?

Today I went to meet with the surgeon for my All Consultation and I was given 2 dates. The first date I had to decline because of a pre planned Family trip. So August 24,2016 is my Sleeve Surgery date
-
Is anyone familiar with how to get samples of protein powders for free? If so please advise me of the companies as well as protein powders or shakes that you guys have tried that taste good or bad. Thanks in advance
-
Awesome.. Keep us updated
-
Thanks I will try these places. I don't want to purchase something expensive and hate it so I figured the samples would help.

@@Jenjen2016 I started 1/21/2016 and the Bariatric center that I used required that you complete a Nutrition class followed by one on one NUT appointments ( as many as needed but more than 4), Psych Evaluation, Monthly weigh ins, Labwork and PCP Letter of Support. All of these needed to be completed before you could meet with the Surgeon. The NUT appointments are vital here and if you don't do what is expected of you they 1) drop you from the program or 2) it takes even longer. My insurance did not require any of this.

Congrats on taking your life back. Glad to hear that you are doing well. Blessings
-
Thanks everyone and @@leliwhoaoh hopefully we can be surgery buddies
-
Thanks guys. So the appointment went well with the surgeon. He suggested the Sleeve instead of Rny because of my intestinal issues. He didn't feel comfortable changing things. So I now have my Surgery date August 24... I also have my pre op testing and post op follow up appointment scheduled..

I'm waiting in the office to meet with the surgeon. I'm so nervous because I don't know how this is going to go. I have completed the Initial Consultation, Psych Eval, all Nutrition appts and a support group meeting. Now I meet with the surgeon today and the scheduling team.
-
Oh My.. I am glad they were able to find the cause for your misery and fix it. Hopefully all goes well and they will let you go home. I am sending prayers and hugs... Blessings
-
That's awesome. Would you like to be my buddy and email?
