Hi! I am so happy to find this site!! I am a 46 year old mother of three married to wonderful man. Since getting married 20 years ago , I had put on over 100 lbs. Babies, work , kids activities all came before my health. Then my dad died at 65 last January as a result of cardiac problems exacerbated by his obesity. I knew that I had to do something, as nothing that I had tried before worked long term for me. So I researched Bariatric Sleeve Surgery and began my journey last June. I had 6 months of nutrition counseling. Medical tests, psych evaluations...the full work up. I was sleeved by Dr. Iragau on Jan 20,2016. Start weight :285 lb; pre-op weight :272 lb. ;current weight: ??? I am excited/scared/nervous about the months to come.
