19 Days Post Op Can't Eat
catalina_uk replied to Dianeg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Take it slowly, is early days yet. U don't have to finish if all...in time this will change. Ur tolerance will chance -
What was your "last" meal?
catalina_uk replied to lgivaudan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Bacon sandwich and dulce de lecce cake+custard...but it was sometime well before I started my pre op diet. I m 5 months out and I don't think I'll ever try that cake again.Anything sugary makes me feel funny, not sick, light headed. And we are talking here about a fruit yogurt not an icecream or chocolate bar. Haven't tasted that in 6 months. -
So let me get all this straight. You ate a piece of FRIED chicken at eight weeks out and thought it was important enough of an event to post it. And not on your FB or your Insta, but on a WLS support board where many (most?) of us are here to support a healthier life style and encourage excellent choices pre op and absolutely during the healing/losing stages post op. FRIED chicken made you vomit, people shared similar stories and gave you extremely valid advice to avoid FRIED, CARBY, FATTY foods like FRIED chicken (that YOU posted/ate/vomited for no clear reason at EIGHT WEEKS post op) and YOU are calling everyone else an "assh0le" and a "troll"!?!?! Are you even reading what you're writing? And wait. You decided to alter your body physically and permanently when really, you did not have real weight loss issues or co-morbidities in the first place? AHHHHHHHHH!!! Yes. It all makes TOTAL sense. I'm honest about my journey I'm not perfect and won't pretend to be and the fact that I'm being judged by people who don't have it all figured out is baffling..... and everyone doesn't have the same issues that lead them to wls.... I haven't had fried anything in months so what's the big deal.... no where does it say NEVER on my plan!!!!! So I guess ur an expert that has it all figured out as well???? See I appreciate the suggestions on different was I can make chicken it's the ridicule the I can't stand!!!! Everyone is on this journey for many different reasons and I don't judge anyone even if I don't agree I know this is a learning process!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Nobody is judging. Is what you want and if you post it here you have to accept that there will be different people with different opinions. I wouldn't eat it because:1) I m scared of dumping 2) can't stomac that not even after 5 months 3) it will make me crave for more But this is me.

I feel the same I had rny on the 14.05.16 and from the day of my operation until date I only lost 66 pounds. I know it seems a lot but I can't help feeling I could have done better. Or I don't know...I m dissapointed. -
Stuffin' yourself with shakes won't make a difference. But as we are all different guess it doesn't matter.

Chutney -
Is normal, at 8 weeks post op I was the same. You don't need 100 gr of protein a day-not a this stage any way. That's the equivalent of 3 medium chicken breasts. You will get gradually better as the swelling goes down. I am 14 weeks out and I m still having problems eating more than 600 cal a day. 100 gr of protein is expected from you at the end of your 2 year journey. You do need to drink Water but again take it slowly.

14 weeks out and 57 pounds off. Is that good or bad? -
You might discover the coffee doesn't agree with you anymore after the surgery. But here in the uk coffee is permitted after surgery. I wouldn't allow such a small thing to get in your way for not having surgery. Good luck

Would you do it again?
catalina_uk replied to char3672's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It takes time. Just take it slowly. It will get better. Trust me. 12 weeks out and I ve re-started to drink water...food is still a problem some days, especially protein. But I am happy I am no longer turning to food for comfort and I have managed to stay away from sweets for the past 16 weeks. Felt sick once because I ate too fast but apart from that it's all been fine. Remember ur pouch won't hurt you as long you don't hurt it first. Good luck. -

Not all of them. The simple, copper ones don't. I have one and is like that. To be quite frank I don't really understand why wouldn't want to have a period. Is something natural, meant to happen to your body every month...but hey ho that's me...not related to the topic...pls don't get me wrong. -

Why is onederland so evasive?!

I started at 317 I m only at 274 two months after my op. I hope I get to 200, under is just a dream:))) -
Yeah, sure. If you eat vegetables, you are a vegetables garden and so on.

When you feel ready. I don't think there are straight answers for this. There are guidelines and recommendations but not answerS. I waited 4 weeks after my rny but that's when I felt comfortable.
