Went to see my doctor yesterday lost 8 lbs Surgery date is Jan 24. Go to PreOp appointment on Monday the 16th nervous and anxious at the same time. At the PreOp class one main question I had put me at ease. The procedure is 2 hours as long there aren't any issues. Which I pray it isn't. Have to put into my mind no matter how sore I am Walk walk walk after surgery. Really worried I have to walk up steps to get to my apartment. Going to look into a recliner so I can be comfortable. Any more advice I need to know would be most appreciated Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Six weeks seems like a lifetime. All kinds of feelings are running through my mind. Worried I will lose my hair as I have heard dozens of times Good thing out of all this no more high blood pressure medicine and weight loss pills. Vitamins I will have to take for the rest of my life I have no problem with Was taking 2 BP medications and metformin because I was pre diabetic. Now it's one BP med no metformin diet pill (xenical) and my Multivitamin which I take anyway. I go for my pre op meeting tomorrow and meet with the surgeon wednesday. @wonderwomanNJ 4 oz and 1 scoop i would suggest you get a blender if you don't have one. I had a Protein shake where it said on the container was 5 oz of Water and one scoop it was a little thick so I added just a little bit of water I got a better Protein Shake where it says 8 oz of water and a scoop. In the morning I make 12 oz I know when I have surgery I won't be able to have it Also get creative with it Being I know I can't have an actual banana spit I made my own in a shake form. I had some strawberry and graham cracker protein shake I took a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa Half of a banana A teaspoon of vanilla It was so good When I have chocolate Protein Powder I had a "Reese's Peanut Butter cup" with peanut butter powder OMG awesome Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

A lot has been going on since I started this journey. Good and wonderful things. My ex husband and I got remarried a month ago having a ceremony Sept 22 2017. I am officially a GLAMma My first granddaughter was born December 5th. My first couple of visits with my surgeon weren't that great. He put me on a Protein shake raw vegetable diet. The first month was good the second month in I was getting nauseous so I added fish and Chik'n (vegetarian chicken) to my diet. Invested in a fit bit which has came in handy. Lost 16 lbs so Far. I have my Pre op meeting on the 13th Meet with the surgeon on the 14th My surgery date Jan 24. He decided the sleeve which is what I wanted in the beginning Nervous and anxious. As always leaving it in Gods hands Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

@@bananashake my doctor had told me most of his patients tried the Protein shake and raw vegetables diet and lost weight. I added seafood and chicken to mine which I put in salad and broth. I pray that after my surgery I will be able to still enjoy fish and chicken. If not I don't mind being vegetarian I have been one before and lost 54 lbs Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
