I go through this a lot myself but I can not let myself not eat. I throw up a lot when things don't agree I then wait for my stomach to calm and then drink a muscle milk, it had become a life saver. I have 3 cases right now. You must push yourself pass the feeling. I am coming up to 3 months since surgery and I know I don't eat enough so I'm really working on that. It seems to be an all day event at times. Try making yourself a meal plan and follow it. Try different Proteins. cheese really helps me, walnuts and almonds. And talk with your Nut. I'm sorry to hear that he isn't being supportive of your choice. My husband was kind of the same way. And I think it's because they're a little scared were going to leave them once we've gotten out lives back. But now that I've had the surgery and have been losing weight and feeling good, he is super supportive. He makes sure I have what I need, he's always checking to make sure I'm getting my Protein. He really wants to buy me some new clothes because he can't stand looking at my bagging pants and sweat shirt (which he tries to shrink on me) I'm a big beach bum so I don't mind for now. We have to make the best choices for ourselves when it comes to health. I thought about this for the 7/8 months before surgery, going through all the appts/tests and it's the best thing to ever come into my life. It's not easy by far but nothing is, Especially marriage. Hopefully you can express to him how you feel about having the surgery and weather he agrees or not it's your choice. If he loves you he will start supporting you once he see how happy you are. Remind him how much you love him. Also this group has been the best support also. As many people say, we're family. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

Julien Bakery Paleo Protein Bars
Blondie 6388 replied to amandasue's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well looking at the dietary fiber 22g that leaves them with 5 carbs. Sugar is also low. I've never found anything with that much fiber, that's great. I may try them myself -

Stall post-complications!
Blondie 6388 replied to amandasue's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow 70 lbs in 6 weeks. I'd think you'd want to gain your strength back before doing anything, even going to the gym. You need to recover fully. I would say to continue getting your protein and maybe do some walking. I hope you take it easy and recover. -

Wow!! That's awesome your feeling so good. I couldn't stay awake after surgery so they let me sleep which I was happy about. Sip slowly your going to do great. Welcome to the club -
I used 1c. Silk almond milk to a scoop and one to one an a half cup of ice. I couldn't drink all that I was suppose to for the day. I had to do it for 3 weeks. I would make a container for what I was to drink for the day. If I felt I needed something it was there.

Nausceos from water
Blondie 6388 replied to nervousnelly719's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Water doesn't agree with me like it use to that's for sure. Alot of things don't. I guess I'm going to start adding some kind of flavor to it so I enjoy drinking it again. I do like the isopure and that helps get both protein and h2o in. -
Oh how terrible to be sent home with no pain meds and to have the scares in the hospital. My night in the hospital was good except it was so loud. I also got very nauseas for the first week until I started taking the meds every 4 hours and then I was good. Call your Dr. and have them call your meds in for you. Sip small sips things will get better and your regret will go away. I was sleeved 1/25/16. I have issues getting food in at times so I drink my muscle milk and isopure to make sure to get 80 grams of protein. I've lost 40lbs all together and I feel really good. This is a great support group and I have learned so much just reading about everything from everyone. Everyone is different in their journey in how they have lost weight. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I was also sleeved on 1/25/16 and lost 11lbs at first week follow up. Yesterday was one month follow up and I only lost 3 lbs. I felt like I had lost at least 10lbs more but the scale doesn't lie. I have about 60lbs to loose over the next year my Dr says, so she said 5lbs a month was good for me. I didn't think it was going to be so slow and maybe it won't. I have a hard time getting everything in, protein, water, water, water ???? I have not started exercising yet but it's in the plan I don't want to end up with a pancake butt and loose skin. I'm told I won't have sagging skin if I exercise. My BMI was 38.5 at time of starting shakes only and I lost 16lbs so at day of surgery I was at 35.5 I'm happy to be feeling better and seeing the numbers go down instead of yo yo ing. Im excited to see my Blood work in 2 months.

Is anyone using Shakeology shakes? I joined team beach body last July and love the shakes but today when I went in for my one month post op and asked if they were good to continue I was told no because it's a broken down protein. Instead of getting 17 grams your getting about 5/6 grams. Do I give them up or still continue using them? I really like them and they're programs.
