    Almost There

I'm doing good. Went to the gym for the 1st time yesterday. Just walked on the treadmill, but still. Tired of the liquid diet though.

    Day 1 (surgery 2/17/16)

How funny. I too burst into tears just before leaving the house the morning of surgery.

    Hungry after bypass

I forgot to take my PPI yesterday. I read something about that last night and I'm going to see if it makes a difference today. Thank you

    Hungry after bypass

Thank you all for your replys. I was beginning to worry.
  6. I am exactly one week post op gastric bypass. I must say I think I am recovering well. I feel pretty good and I am without pain already. My question is, is hunger at this point normal? Is it even real hunger? I feel hungry at different points throughout the day, and this concerns me because I thought I would not be hungry. My full liquid meals satisfy me for a little while. I am eating exactly what the doctor told me to. I am getting enough Protein and Fluid in. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a bad thing?

    How are you feeling Jennweb?

    Day 1 (surgery 2/17/16)

Good luck to the both of you. I am 6 days post op and not feeling bad. Day 2 I cried for my belly pain. Day 4 I cried for my severe constipation. Day 5 I cried for my back ache. I am a crier so im not suprised. All in all, I feel ok. I'm following doctors orders and staying hydrated. I have ups and downs every day but I'm already glad I've done it. I'm down 25lbs from my preop diet which started January 15th. I can already fit into shoes that I've never worn and I just fit into the bra that was "too small". I was also worried and anxious. Be brave my sister. I just kept telling myself to be brave.

    Jan 26th surgery day!

My dr. doesn't do drains - luckily you don't have to go home with it. I'm just worried about lifting my 15 month old baby girl post-op. She loves for me to pick her up and I can't imagine her face when I tell her I can't. Luckily my husband will be off so he can out her in my arms but still...that's pretty much it. Aww. I feel the same way about my 18 month old little girl. I'm going to have her climb up on the couch to sit with me since she loves climbing anyways. My surgery is on the 28th!

  14. Gastric bypass. When did you have surgery pinkgirl?
  15. I'm scheduled for surgery on January 28th. Exactly three weeks later I will be starting nursing school! I am very excited for both, but I am also worried. I have heard that the recovery will not be too horrible and my doctor said I should be fine. I am still concerned. How did you all feel three weeks post-op? Well enough to sit in a class room for half the day?
