Cigna finally approved my procedure for Tuesday!!! I'm so excited and nervous! My representative at the surgeons office said that the Dr to Dr review didn't even happen she got everything all ironed out herself before! So excited and now sooooo nervous!

So Cigna approved me today for my surgery on Tuesday!!! My representative at the surgeons office said the doctors didn't even talk. She ironed everything out the the med director herself! I am sooooo excited and now so nervous! Thank you everyone for your advise and support.

Oh I have been on the phone so much with both my insurance and my surgeons office they probably have memorized my phone number! Lol I am praying with everything I have. I work in an emergency room so we never have to deal with insurance claims and authorizations. My Dr will be on the call tomorrow. Apparently he has been just as shocked as I that I wasn't approved! Thank you so much for your advice and encouragement. I will let y'all know how it turns out.

The first denial was a lack of a signature from the nutritionist. This time, I don't know. The lady at the surgeons office didn't know either.

I have Cigna as well and as of today I have been denied twice. My procedure is set for the 23rd and I have been on pins and needles waiting for a response for the second denial. The lady at the surgeons office said that the Cigna I have rarely denies claims. There is a Dr to Dr call tomorrow between my surgeon and the Med Director so hopefully all will work out. I am praying.. Stressed but praying.

It is so ridiculous. These people just see what is on paper. They haven't been there for the fights with the scale or the tears shed because you have to have a seatbelt extender on a plane. I hope yours goes well! I will keep you in my thoughts. And thank you for the encouragement.

Hang in there!!! And feel free to vent away. I can only imagine how you must feel. I will be praying that tomorrow's call goes well!! My surgeon hates having to work with insurance companies because they act like having surgery is something we all decided we'd try BEFORE we tried everything else. *HUGS!* Thank you I am trying. Hopefully my Doctor can talk some sense into them. Here's to hoping and praying.

I am so incredibly crushed at the moment. My procedure is set for the 23rd and my insurance has, for the second time, denied my sleeve. The surgeons office has set up a Dr to Dr conference tomorrow between my surgeon and the Med Director for my insurance. I feel like all the hard work over the last year is slowly going down the drain. Sorry for venting but I feel if anyone understands it's the people on this forum.

Still no word from the insurance company or surgeons office. Holding out hopes for the 23rd. Starting preop tomorrow just in case. You better be sure I will be on the phone with both when they open today!

Hang in there. I got denied & ran into the excuse "Not medically necessary" & other hurdles countless times. Part of the reason I jumped on an earlier surgery date was because I was afraid of the same thing. Best of luck for the resubmit Thank you! It's so frustrating. Best of luck with yours!

Sooo bloody irritated today. Have my surgery set for the 23rd. Was supposed to start my preop diet today, and come to find out my insurance has denied my procedure! All due to some missing signature or something! The surgeons office has resubmitted the claim. Still holding onto the original surgery date. Keeping my fingers crossed it will go through this time.

Anyone have a suggestion on a chewable multivitamin? My Doctor's office suggests these Opurity vitamins and they are beyond bad... lol The don't mind the brand just as long as I getting all the things I need

I was just told yesterday mine will be February 23rd!!!!! Super excited, though I am not looking forward to the colon cleanse the day before ????

After nine months of testing and evals I finally have my preop appt next Wednesday!!! I too will hopefully have my sleeve done mid Febuary. Super excited and nervous at the same time!

Did anyone have an NG tube post surg?

I have Cigna as well. I have been going through the process since last July. Between the NUT and the Psych appts it can take awhile! It all depends on what Cigna plan you have as to what your requirements are and what copays, deducts, or out of pocket max's you have. Hope to recieve a date this week. Good Luck to you!
