I am currently pre surgery and do not have a date set.  The process of the gastric sleeve surgery began on November 23, 2015 and, due to my insurance, I am currently in the 3 month waiting period.  My weight has always been an issue for me.  I lost a large amount of weight about 10 years ago and kept it off for at least 5 years.  Slowly it began coming back on and then I decided that the gastric sleeve is a great tool for me to get it off and keep it off, for good.  At 23 I was prescribed medication for high blood pressure and not, several years later, I see that as a wake up call.  Here's to the journey!
 
Update as of March 15, 2016:
 
I have been approved for the gastric sleeve but I have not been scheduled for surgery yet.  Although I was approved, there was another surgeon submitted to insurance than the one that I have decided to use.  I am currently waiting for an updated approval from insurance.
