Calling all February Bandsters!

You won't regret the decission to get thin again! :w00t: It's been one year this month for me and I've lost 72 lbs of the 100 I wanted to lose. I'm happy with it. It isn't easy and it isn't magic and can be painful to some degree but I don't care about anything besides being healthy and thin again. Getting my life back and not being so uncomfortable. I step on the scale at least 5 times a week to make sure things are ok and not going backwards. I was in size 20 and now 12. I can't wait for size 8 again. If you can at least walk for exercise do that. and build up slowly to speed and farness. don't over do it and get hurt over it and get a set back. You will get where you want to be with this tool if you follow the band rules. I'm excited for you. :glare: I went to Mexico and paid for my own operation and I think that has made me stick to the rules because I had to borrow and will take 20 years to pay it off. lol if you can take two weeks off, I say also, "why not"? lol I took 2 weeks off also and thought that was just right for me to grasp it all also. Good luck to you shrinking violette! You will soon see all the little things that get so much more comfortable doing, walking, sitting, sleeping, everything! YOU CAN DO IT! :wink2: email me anytime. :w00t: hugs, Jeanie -

wow you all are doing good! this is funny. :blushing: i've only lost a 2 year old kid. -
i can feel mine, it's like a lump amung the fat. lol the lady that gives me a fill asked me to do exercise so it will popl up easily when we need it to. She said to lie on my back and lift that leg and my head and do that 10 times a day everyday and it will be easy when it's fill time. i forget to do it. I've done it 2 times so it isn't working yet. lol

i'm not sure everyday for 2 weeks something got stuck, no particular what or time, Breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. what is stuck for you all and what do you do? things that got stuck and then later didn't: refried Beans, instant mash potatoes, egg beaters, hamburger and some other stuff. i have not had an episode for 3 days now. took all your advise and am staying on liquids and mushy food. :scared2: except i have had wheat thins and they have never given me a problem. I'm not going to try anything till Saturday I think. i have never tried bread, french fries, rice or Pasta. :blushing: I'm afraid. everyday i have oatmeal and never ever a problem with that. i just want to heal so i can go get a second fill in a few weeks and then maybe again. I don't get any full feeling yet. it sounds like everyone is different, isn't that kind of strange? I heard that before but it does seem strange to me. :confused2:

get on a plane with squishing the person next to me and fly away to a tropical beach and lay around on the beach and go swimming for days and days! i used to do that and it was sooooooo fun! i'll never be in a bikini again but a really nice swim suit would be great to me. :tongue_smilie:

lol, well i am beginning to fear reading any more of these and getting any more fears instilled into my pea brain here. hehehe I fear pain a lot more then pain usually hurts. I always think "what if it hurts so much more than I can imagine?" don't talk about mice! i didn't know i feared them so much till i was in my car and my daughter was driving. a big plop on my foot....a mouse had flew out of the heater! and it was a live and i was screaming folded into a little ball in my seat(iwas small then). i was almost out of breath and i was crying she had to pull over and pretend she got it out, then told me later it was still in there! i wouldn't drive my car for days. Never had any idea i fear the little buggers. :tongue_smilie: My daughter that it was awfully funny though. I too fear standing to close to an edge...what if i get dizzy and fall? lol and i'm a total nervous wreck to see children by a ledge of anyting! 3jeanie

Thanks Karen, I went to group meeting tonight and they told me the same thing to do liquids and mushy food again for around 4 days, so i'll try that. -
About freaking time!!!---first fill
Jeanieg6 replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
oh my, never heard of that! congrats on your first fill! let me know if all goes ok. i still can't burp or if i do it is so tiny i have to wonder if that is a burp. lol i still have a horrible pain when eating at least one meal every single day since my fill on April 1st, the joke was on me! i t feels like some one is stabbing me and can last from 10 minutes to 1hour plus. i don't know why something gets stuck every day. i am paying attention. never happens with hot Cereal or pudding or liquids of course but anything solid can get stuck there. i only had 1.6 and don't know if i'll ever get more if this does this every day for ever. i HAVE to stick my finger down my throat to get a burp for a little relief and if i puke it is just the slime. TMI? well i just don't know what to do. hoping yours goes really well! -
hmmmm, maybe one day i'll just have to go out and find out. lol maybe in another 50 pounds or so though.
