Good Saturday morning to all ... Just wondering if anyone that was previously diagnosed with PCOS and since had the lap band has noticed if the symptoms of PCOS is pretty much gone for good. When ever i go to the OBGYN they say its because of my weight, i have always been overweight and my periods were rather normal up until i got married. Since being married i now have an intimate life and that was non exsistant before. I am wondering if those 10 lbs that were put on after marriage really made the PCOS come out or if it is an under lying problem. If anyone can offer any advice on if Losing the weight made the symptoms disappear it would be greatly appreciated. Becca

I unfortunatley will not be banded. The insurance company has said no. The only way i can have it done is to work for a company that has not excluded it from it's policies. Dr. Lusco is great though i would recommend him to anyone he has a great bedside manner.

Would paying for someone else's band be offensive?
beccamay replied to Wheetsin's topic in The Lounge
I would talk to your physician doing your banding and pay for it through their office and let her know that they had heard your families story and would like to offer her a "FREE" lap banding and see what she says. -
Good Morning to all. I was wondering if anyone new the reprocussions of having a car sent back to the dealer. I am finding that my car is overwhelming me and my life with it's large payment but i am not sure what to do. I am continusously in financial hardship because of the car and even one month behind. I am not sure how this would/could affect my credit and what else i would have to do after it went back. I am not sure if anyone has gone through this but any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would ask them why they would assume that, i have never heard of it myself. -
I am an Administrative Assistant in a hospital in Louisville, KY.

my insurance requested the same information, since i had humana, they said it has to be 6 months consecutive documentation. so if i missed a month then i would have to start over. I would contact them and see if you will have to.

Ticked Off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
beccamay replied to dsrjrr's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
When i told my PCP about it he said well if you are going to do that what is going to stop you from going to get the remote control to it and make the opening bigger so you can eat what you like. I just died laughing right in front of him and then i had to instruct him on the product, he said well still you know what i mean and i said actually i don't. its not like i bring the surgeon home with me and tell him what to do and when to do it. I haven't gone back to my PCP since. -
DId they give you any information as to why it slipped after so long?

:amen: Thank you penni for getting this back on the subject, if something is "Slight off subject" then it needs a thread of it own.

You're doing great, if you had the outlook of 100 pounds in a year and you are down 42 at 6 months then at six months your desired goal was 50 you are only 8lbs off. You are doing wonderful, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!! :clap2:
