3 days post op troubles
mrslopez replied to Miss.Bunny447's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No eggs you are too early for that. ..just do liquids Protein shakes, Water, Soup broth. Your stomach is like a baby's stomach as they get older u introduce things slowly to them as far as food goes. So u have to do the same for your stomach treat ot like a newborn baby stomach..liquids for a while then purees for while then introduce certain solids. I dony know what your doctor has you on but i really didnt start back with solids until almost 2 months after my surgery Sent from my SM-N900P using the BariatricPal App -

Try to stay away from spicy hot foods, u said u added pepper. Not sure how much u added but that could be the cause. I cant eat anything too spicy and too much pepper doesnt sit well with me. Also if i ate sweets even a tiny piece i had the sweats. Im a dec 2015 sleever Sent from my SM-N900P using the BariatricPal App

Yes be careful your stomach is like a newborn stomach now and u have to take things slow and introduce things in phases to your new stomach i was sleeved dec 2015 and it was rough in the beginning. Doctor had me on liquids for 2 weeks then purees food for 3 weeks but when i started the solids i still couldn't really eat it so i stuck with the pureed. Be really careful hun! Remember introduce slow u have a newborn stomach now just like food is introduced to them and processed its the same with us. Good luck!!! Sent from my SM-N900P using the BariatricPal App

Work trying to make me delay surgery

First its none of your manager business what kind of surgery you are having unless u voluntarily gave him that information. Other thing i would ask what would be the reason that you need to wait till September. .Do you have fmla which protects your job while you are out? If so check with your local hr to see if you do and if they say you have it and that it protects your job i would say have your surgery hun. Your health is important. What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
mrslopez replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well the fact that i have an 12 year old and a 1 year old and husband to live for. Eating was a comfort for me especially when i was stressed and i just like food period. Then the fact that diabetes, high blood pressure, heart failure, kidney failure is hereditary bc many are overweight in my family. I also got tired of my ankles and knees hurting when i got up in morning and walked. 31 pounds down since dec 2015 im a slow loser but at least its coming off. I also realized the more weight i was putting on the bigger size clothes i had to buy and they got even more expensive, and we all know petite single digit clothes well most of them are cheaper and easier to find. Im not at the size and weight i want to be still have 75 more pounds to lose but im getting there and i am happy i made the decision to get the sleeve. It was the best decision ever. -
Holy cow! Should I have been able to eat that much?
mrslopez replied to thomas1984's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Make sure you are eating slow take small breaks in between picking your spoon/fork up again..i did the same thing in beginning and still felt hungry but when i spoke with my NUT and doctor thats what they told me and now i cant even finish my food bc i take my time to eat it and i get the full feeling..also u have to remember u just had the surgery so your new stomach has to adjust. Its just like a newborn baby stomach now where u will slowly introduce new things in phases. -
I was sleeved dec 14th as well sw 243 cw 214...i like to try different things my NUT gave me a printed out list of all the things i could eat vs what to try n stay away from so i made a book out of it...cucumbers and lite dressing of your choice, pepperoni popped in microwave for seconds th make crispy, pickles with lunch meat wrapped around it theres so many other things u could try...sometimes i even just eat a piece of fruit or veggie like celery and peanut butter or carrots
