OMG that's awful. Glad your friend is better now. When I was in my research phase I came across his web site and it says he'll do breast augmentation too. Whatta deal, lol.

Hi. I'm doing pretty good. I feel a lot better now that I can have my Protein drinks and Vitamins. I have introduced myself to 1 type of mushy food, tuna. It tastes sooo good. I have to chew it so much it's like chewing gum though. My hunger is pretty controlled now that I can drink the shakes. I can't sleep on my left side either and only sore where port is if I do to much. How are all the other 3/3 bandsters?

:eek:OMG I thought I was going to pass out. :cursing: I got as far as them sticking the 2 rods in. :cursing: Sqweemish? I guess that's me, lol. I think I'm going to sit in a corner and have an anxiety attack after I throw up of course. Did you all actually watch the whole thing??? -

I feel bad cause I've been bad
ronwifey replied to viviananna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
 You are SO right! Only 3 pieces of Pizza....lightweight, lol vivian~ I'm sure it's ok. Don't feel bad.:cursing: -
This was the exact question I was going to ask. Also, the bands are to be sterile before entering your body. Opened from sterile vacume packed bag only in the actual OR. I don't think you handeling your band is ok before surgery.

Hi, my port site is more sore now then it was after surgery. You may have turned or something when you were sleeping and tugged a little at the stitches holding it. That's what my Dr. told me at least. He told me to look for bright red skin and fever....then there is a problem.

When can they pick their own songs to sing? And do Ryan and Simon really hate eachother? Oh 1 more, do they have to get permission from the actual artist for them to be able to sing their songs on AI?
-
aimee~ I agree. I didn't like the attitude Kristie had when she said, where's the mic" even before Ryan announced it. Poor sportsmanship IMO. I really didn't think I would like this years AI but it's growing on me. I was surprised that little David forgot his lyrics and he wasn't in at least bottom 3. I thought I heard about his Dad being a stage Dad from hell and found this. ET Online is reporting that David Archuleta may be feeling the pressure from his “stage father” Jeff Archuleta, who reportedly yelled at David during a recording session last Monday. Sources say Dad wasn’t happy with his son’s singing — and even brought him to tears. What? Oh poor David Archuleta! It turns out I am not familiar with the rules of Star Search. David Archuleta was one of the champions, and then eventually lost in the battle of the junior champions. Jeff Archuleta was reported to have been banned on the show after harassing the eventual winner 10-year-old Tiffany Evans. (Who friggin’ harasses a 10-year-old???) More details here. So he was on Amazing Race:family edition, Start Search and AI. Poor kid, I think his Dad his living out his dreams through him.

Has anyone used Dr. Cavazos at NE Baptist in San Antonio. I have a seminar with him tomorrow morning but haven't found anyone who actually used him and that makes me nervous. Also his website says he is a "fellowship-trained". I have no idea what that means but it also says he is the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at NE Baptist Hospital, I like how that sounds LOL. I hope someone can ease my mind about his and this hospital. I also saw that Dr. Patel, Duperier, Pilcher, and Dr. Stegemann are also at NE Baptist. I can tell it's going to me a long night of research for me.

HI, I had my surgery with Dr. Cavazos on 3/3. I think he and his whole staff are GREAT! The whole floor was just for bariatric patients, I can go on forever,,,,,

I third that! LOL How cool to see your X-ray at least that would of made that awful drink a little bit more worth it for me. I love Westin chain. Enjoy, rest and relax. The time will go by fast and you'll be eating before ya know it. I can finally eat Monday and right after I had the surgery I never thought it would get it here. Take care and safe travels. -
For those who got banded this week and last
ronwifey posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I was wondering if you guys are still on pain meds? Also, what are you guys drinking and how much. Are you all hungry yet? Do you have bandages over your incisions? When are you guys allowed to shower? How do you guys sleep? Do you know when we can sleep on our side? TIA I look forward to reading your experiences thus far. -
Those ugly, sticky marks from the surgical dressings.
ronwifey replied to ajoneen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
THANK YOU! I have a little left so I'll use that. I took the majority off by elbow grease and soap and water....OUCH! -
Thanks guys. The fudge-sicles I have are 70 calories and the popsicles have 30. All I eat is popsicles and 1 Jello cup a day so my calorie intake is very low. Carol and Bunny~ I understand now about fat-free vs. sugar free, thanks:smile2:

Will I have a lot of gas forever?
ronwifey replied to Hazel-eyes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had gas pains for about 2-3 days but I didn't have unusual gas "coming out" if you know what I mean. I wish I had, I think I would have felt better. Eventually the pain went away.
