HI everyone. It's been awhile since I've been here....work, kids, husband, school and just life lol! Everyone is doing so good! :thumbup:The only thing I feel now with my fill is I can't eat fast, or I should say I have to eat very slow but I can eat more then 2 cups. I hope I can get another fill at my appointment at the end of this month. He didn't really want to give me the first one so I doubt he will give me another. Worth a try though...I need it! Well congrats again everyone for doing so GREAT!

I'm with ya... hate hospitals and hospitals DO NOT equal rest that is forsure! My Dr. agrees too. NO RESTING! I had these pump things on my legs to prevent clots and the only time they were off was when I was MADE to get up (at least every hour and walk). I know if I was at home I wouldn't have walked like I did in the hospital. My family was there with me and I tell you what since my 16 year old son saw me in that hospital bed he has cut out 95% of junk food and also quit drinking soda. I think it scared him, LOL. Also they pumped me up with so many fluids, antibiotics and Vitamins I can't imagine how I would have felt if I didn't have those.

HI. Same as skinnyme2be; My Doctor makes all his patients spend the night. GB patients stay 2 nights. The next day they made me drink some YUCKY stuff as they watched it go down through the band to make sure everything was ok. They also wanted to see how much I went to the bathroom before I left. I'm so glad I stayed. :smile2:

Banded 3/3/08, no pre-op diet, lost 29 pounds

HI, I'm doing pretty good. Feel like my weight loss is slowing down but that's ok I'll keep doing my part. I had my first fill on the 10th and am so glad I got it. I am on to real food now, nothing off limits except raw vegetables and other things that will take a lot of work for my stomach to get down. I'm completely 100% sick of flippen water. I do miss sweet tea and Sprite. But oh well.....:confused: Look forward to hearing how everyone else is doing.

Tonight was my favorite episode this season. Finally a good one, lol! I am 100% for David Cook! He did soooooo good !! I loved his whole performance.:biggrin: I think tonight the contestants really showed what they had or didn't have. It's no secret here I don't like David A. but tonight he did do good BUT I think Brooke, Syesha and David Cook did awesome and it will be hard for David A.'s cute baby boy looks to get him pass those 3. BTW~ I had no idea that Mariah Carey wrote her own songs. I have a whole new respect for her now.

Ohhhhh....yeah.....I was wrong for that. I'm just so sick of David A. and the attention he is getting that I automatically assume the worse....ooops :thumbup: What did Syesha say last week with Ryan? I am glad Kristy didn't do or say anything stupid this week.

Hi, I know a women who uses the same Dr. as me and she is also with Tricare. The only thing was Tricare only covered it if she went to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio so my Dr. went to that hospital to preform her surgery instead of the one he normally uses. I saw her after the surgery and it worked out perfect, I guess it's not uncommon for surgeons to use different hospitals. Sorry for rambling....if you would like to know my Dr.s # you can PM me. She also told me is was a pretty fast process for her.

Hi everyone. Hope all my fellow March Bandsters are doing well. Well, at first my Dr. didn't want to give me a fill because I "was doing great", he said. WELL.....I don't think being hungry all the time is so great and my will power is running very very short :tongue: I told him I wanted/needed a fill so......... he gave me a little fill (fewww I felt bad going against his opinion but I know me and I know I NEEDED IT! ). Oh he also said he usually doesn't do fills this early when the patient is doing so well, he compared it to a horse race. "You don't need to whip the horse if it's in 1st place." I guess that makes sense. I Don't know the exact cc's he put in. The only thing that hurt was the stupid numbing shot! OUCH!:redface: It burned like hell! When he actually did the fill I felt just a tiny bit of pressure on the port but no pain. I did feel the saline go through the tubing. It was an odd feeling. Lasted about 1 second and I guess I could "feel" the coldness of the saline. Then half a second later it was done. He made sure I could keep down Water before I left the office, which I did and then off to work I went. I do feel less of the starvation feeling so I guess it is working. I know it is going to take a couple more fills but I needed something now!

I agree. I can't believe the bottom 3!:redface: David A. needed to be in that group! Yeap, still hoping he get's the boot SOON. day of surgery (3/3/08) I was 243. Today (4/10/08) I am 218 so I'm down 25 pounds.

I may need to get one of those too. Isn't that false advertisement...kinda?

Hi, I was wondering how you guys are doing? I'm doing pretty good I guess. When are you guys getting your first fill? I have to go in on 4/2 to get blood work then see my Dr. on 4/10. I wonder if I'll get a fill then? What are guys eating on an average day for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Great job Bama on your weight loss! I'm stuck at 22 pounds lost since 3/3/08. I hope I get my first fill on the 10th. I feel NO restriction what so ever. The only thing I feel is if I eat to fast my chest will hurt. Good job again on your weight loss!

I gained about 5 pounds in the few weeks before surgery :smile: I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any food when I couldn't have it anymore, lol.

travelgirl~ I'm with ya on David. His hair I think is the only reason he's there (unique). He probably doesn't even know what "dread lock" really means and why people have dreads to begin with. And his eyes....... CREEPY!:thumbup:

I think Dolly should have been voted off. LOL, j/k. I really felt bad for her, she was being out sung by the backup singers and I thought she kept losing her breath. I really like her though But really....I think David A. needs to go next so my plea to America : PEOPLE.....STOP VOTING FOR THAT KID PLEASE! Yeah, Kristi Lee Cook is a big sore loser. The whole seat sign was the dumbest thing ever! She acts like she dosen't even want to be there. I think she'll be gone next week by her antics last night. I'm with you guys. I'm actually starving right now and forcing myself to drink water. It's that time of the month too so it's even harder to stay away from all the bad/good stuff. I HOPE I can get a fill on the 10th. This won't work how it is now!:huh2:

HI, I didn't have the pain ball but the gastric bypass patients get them from my Dr.. I think you have the same liquid pain meds I had and it works. I think you'll be fine when the pain ball runs out. What actually is that anyways?
