Yay I rather be safe then sorry... I don't think I will be waring the same thing home; due to the fact that what I am waring to the hospital is tight fit-it pants and what I am waring home that outfit is much looser... I don't want to irritate my incision.

Like I said before to each is own... This is my journey I am entitled to make the same mistakes as you to did. Thanks for your opinions but, I am still taking my things.

I'm almost a month post surgery and my husband keeps saying don't get too skinny. I told him if he didn't like it let me know and I will gladly get someone who does. I didn't do this for him anyway and I keep reminding him of that. Keep getting to your goal and whatever happens it will be for the best. You will have people that support you and the one person you want to be there for you may not see that they want to be. That's their loss.

I'm down 36.5 pounds!!! Sooo excited!

I'm so glad to read this thread. I am so tired of the Protein drinks, powders and shakes and I'm only 1-week post-op. I have to psych myself up just to make myself swallow it. I'm grossed out by the artificial ingredients, the foaminess of some, the texture of others... I know it's a necessity, but it's a struggle already and the only thing I'm hung up on.
I move to a mushy-consistency phase tomorrow and am praising the lord for Greek yogurt and higher-protein Soup choices.

Rest.. sip.. walk... rest.. sip.. walk.. then repeat... this will make your recovery so much easier ????

That's why I love my sleeve (been a year) and other than eating less I haven't really changed my diet 180degrees. I am a carb girl so I eat a couple of chips occasionally, or a piece of a cheddar bay biscuit at Red Lobster, but I don't really miss it.

My surgery is tomorrow May 4th and I am a bit nervous but ready to get it done. I know it will be the best thing for me. You will be just fine.

Walk. Walk. Walk. You'll probably hear it a lot, but walking was the NUMBER ONE way to relieve the gas advised by my team. They said to not even bother with Gas-X. It doesn't target that kind of gas pain. They actually kept me another day because I hadn't passed gas yet. But once I was really moving around, things...started moving. I wasn't allowed tea or anything besides Gatorade for the first week following surgery. Depending on your surgeon - that may be an option.

Try chamomile tea or cumin tea. Helped with me.. Good luck

It's 5:14 am and I am checking in to the hospital to start my new life! I am so ready for this mentally and physically. Been prepping for TEN MONTHS doing all the required stuff. I have never been so excited before. I am ready to take back my life!

My surgery was 4/20 not only was my husband unsupportive but he was incarcerated days before I went in. Family didn't show up. If there's a will there's a way! Nothing is impossible. I'm with my 2yr old all day every day. I say keep pushing and praying. Sis I mention 4/14 I fell down the stairs and injured both ankles and my right wrist? I'm telling you do what's comfortable for you! I did what I felt was necessary for me. I cry, I be in pain, and some days I fall short on my Protein but I'm alive and I'm not giving up!!

Yay! I finally got my surgery date. It will be May 2nd. I'm so excited/nervous. My surgeon doesn't require a liquid diet, just high Protein low carb for 2 weeks prior to surgery. He also informed me he does an EGD type test while you are under to check for leaks so you don't have to drink the nasty stuff to check for leaks after!
