Best of luck and know that you are doing this for better health and happiness! You will be so happy of the transformation. The most important thing is to know that your health will be so much better and this journey is going to bring you great things. Be positive and go into Surgury as calm as can be. Think of all the great reasons why you doing this and we are all here to support you and keep us posted!!! 🙏👍🏻😊😃 -
Don't think to much or you will get sick. It will be ok. When you start thinking and getting anxious, breathe deep in and out and say to yourself you gonna be ok. I would have regretted if I would have cancell my Surgury. I went through a lot but I feel so much better and so will you. We are all here to support one another. You are not alone. 😉

Hello It is so normal to feel scared. I was scared to the point just before I went into Surgury. I almost said no. What helped me was to stay and focus on all the positive things that would happen after Surgury. Being around positive people is so important. Keep speaking to yourself positive things and be around supportive people. You will be ok. Trust me it's normal and many of us have felt that way. A lot of great health and great things will all come together. 😉😀

Hello It is normal to have fear. I also was afraid till the moment they put me to sleep. Think positive and you will be ok. It is ok to be concern but stressing out is not healthy when going to get Surgury. You have to be relax and confident that you will be awake in few hours. The surgeon will make sure you are ok. I told the surgeon before going in that I was very nervous. He reassure me that everything will be ok and it was. You will be fine and will wake up and start a new journey that will bring you best of health and transform you into a new heathly person. When you start thinking , start speaking positive thoughts to yourself and it will help you. Everything will be just fine. Good luck 😀😀

Hello From what I was told the liver shrinks due to the weight loss. Most people have what's called a fatty liver due to weight. When on liquid diet, the liver shrinks making it easier for the Surgury.

Hello It is difficult to be on a liquid diet for 2 weeks but it's normal to give up but jump back on track. Make sure you having enough protein, and follow other list of things you can have according to your surgeon diet. Protein will keep you fuller. It takes at least 4 days for your body to adjust and than you will be ok. The first few days are the hardest than your body will be ok. Think positive and you will be ok. 😊 -
Hello Yes I had 4 balloon dilation. They do it while having a endoscopy and they put you out under sedation. I had it done due to having narrowing and I was vomiting a lot. It helped temporarily. Most of the time it takes more than once to be effective. There is no pain. Why r you having it done?

Hello and Congratulations!!! Best of luck and keep up the good work. You will feel better each day and the more you walk the better it will get. 👍🏻🙏😀
-
Hello I would take more than a week. I took 4 weeks due to recovery and all. It depends on how you feel and what your doctor thinks. Don't push it. Health is first. Best of luck.

What did you bring (or wish you had) to the hospital?
asantiago replied to Bodhi Tree's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hello Wishing you all the best 👍🏻🙏😀. I would bring slippers, socks, book, phone charger, things to keep you busy. You can bring your own lotion, body mist, deodorant, brush, chapstick. These are few things i bought with me. Glasses or contact lenses. Wishing you the best. -
I am 15 month post op and have had 5bowel obstruction surgury. My last one was march 2, 2017 and I haven't been myself. I been more tired and feel like no desire of anything and also been home from work for almost a month. I go back to work on Wednesday. Is this normal? Has anyone ever felt weak or like tired a lot? Any suggestions? I started taking my vitamins.

Hi oh I see. I would check with your doctor to see if it's not to early for you to eat certain foods. I would follow his diet and ask him to make sure before. Best wishes. I know I had cravings after I had my bypass for certain foods but they went away but you want to make sure to avoid any obstruction.
-
Hi How far r you into your surgury? I am a year and few months and yes I have them baked.

Hello It is normal to feel what you feeling. Don't worry you will be ok. You Will be put to sleep quickly and most likely it will be laparoscopic surgury and you will heal quickly. Say a prayer and be positive. Best feeling luck 😀😀😀😀😀 -
Hello. I would ask your surgeon what meds over the counter you should and sure not take because certain meds after gastric bypass should not be taken. To be safe I would ask.

Losing to much weight to fast
asantiago replied to pdallariva's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hello Hope you doing better. I also lost a lot of weight and now 1 pound underweight. I just had my 5th bowel obstruction surgury last week. I am so upset. I was also not able to keep food down. They need to make sure you don't have any obstruction. They most likely will have you do a special test where you drink dye and they able to see if you have any issues. I hope all works out. Please keep me posted. R you on full liquids? -

You will also get better. Be positive! It's very important to speak positive even though it's not easy. Don't lose hope. You will get through this and don't be so hard n yourself.
