I failed my sleeve surgery.
Womanvsmirror replied to Steeks's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Back to basics. Are you tracking your food? What changed? What did you do different before the weight started coming back? What i have noticed in my short time sleeved, is that after the "honeymoon" (which i never had really) you have to do the work. Its almost like the sleeve restricts you long enough for YOU to develop good habits. And then you have to hold onto those habits in order to keep loosing or maintain. There is a lot missing here. What is your diet? Not just portion size but what are you eating? Are you active? Meeting water intake? You have not failed, you have that tool for life. I agree that you need to see someone about the reason you have these habits. -

WAS TOTALLY AGAINST PLASTIC SURGERY UNTIL I WOKE UP....
Womanvsmirror replied to Womanvsmirror's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Right , I figured in the beginning of this "I JUST WANT TO BE HEALTHY". now that the health has improved and the temptation to show off the hard work is here the TWIN TOWERS will not let me be great. The stomach, i can tuck in and conceal , been doing that for years. The boobs only look good completely covered. Nothing low cut because even in a great bra they look like they need to be ironed. Could i live with it, technically, would i be happy still having to cover up at beaches NO. After my one year check up i will start lining up consultations -
WAS TOTALLY AGAINST PLASTIC SURGERY UNTIL I WOKE UP....
Womanvsmirror posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
When i began this journey i was foolish, even though i thought i was well informed. I just knew since i wasn't "that big", plastic surgery would not be needed. First of all my eyes were playing tricks on me. i look back at pics now and i was "that big". But everything was moving along slower than i wanted but still moving, no saggy skin in site. I actually discovered that i had a little bit of a booty hiding under the fat. THEN I WOKE UP AND FOUND THAT MY BOOBS WERE EMPTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS NOT GRADUAL , WENT TO sleep ONE DAY THEY WERE FINE A LITTLE SMALLER BUT STILL AWESOME. THE VERY NEXT MORNING I WAS MET WITH TWO VERY SAD SUNNY SIDE UP EGGS!!! EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY HAS HUGE BOOBS EVEN THE SMALL ONES, SO IN MY MIND I WOULD NOT BE AFFECTED. SO HERE WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SURGEON ~LE SIGH~ Did anyone initially not want additional surgeries but ended up getting them? -
I had these thoughts before surgery. The reality is the surgery is on your stomach not your brain. So just like with any weight loss plan, there comes a point when every thing stops. Then what? If you have made that complete lifestyle change after taking a leap and having wls and you still cant get where you want to be??????????? Some may try different things to shake it up.Get it moving again. Whether its a change in eating or changing their work out. Its the same thought process as before surgery. You want to meet your goals and when you are actually doing everything right and its not happening.....HERE COMES THE DIETS

How do you manage changing clothing sizes?
Womanvsmirror replied to Phoinixe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Unfortunately even though the scale changed , my clothing size didn't move very fast. it didn't change not once until i dropped about 60 lbs lost.Starting size 15/16 ish currently 10/11 have not spent a dollar on clothes. Church give away, and donations. I usually drop off a trash bag or 2 monthly and acquire the same amount if not more in return. The only thing i had to spend money on is undergarments. Reach out to local churches or food banks they will know where to go. -

Pics!!! UPDATE 8 MONTHS OUT!!!!!!!! Where are my June 2016 sleevers
Womanvsmirror replied to Womanvsmirror's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you and 145 is still my original goal. But the closer i get i think 135 will be a better fit, and give me a little wiggle room during maintenance. I have my heart set on being a size 8, i have always wanted a comfortable single digit size . Clothing sizes are not changing much for me started 14/16 about and 11 now THUNDER THIGHS wont let me be great. -

Leaning towards lift with a fat transfer to fix the upper flatness, still have a little meat at the bottom. they look wrinkled in a bra so push ups make it worse. -

Womanvsmirror replied to Womanvsmirror's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My work outs have changed a lot. At first like most is was all cardio, well mainly .Which i found is great for making the scale move, but sucks for building muscle or keeping your skin firm.So now its a combo of weights, cardio and strength exercises. 5 days a week faithfully . Still tracking food and macros -

9 months out- trying to keep it in perspective
Womanvsmirror replied to ejirish's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i had surgery 6/1, and like you was thankful cause i know i could not do that alone but was frustrated. I hit the 160's around Oct 2016, and its taken me until this week to get into the 150's. Talk to your doctor express your concerns they will offer suggestions and help. It seems the closer you get to your goal the more your body wants to settle....keep pushing i started tracking during my ins required diet last year and have not stopped, i need accountability daily. i know long term this may not work , but ive seen what happens when i wing it. -
I didnt go to the doctor much one year due to no insurance. as long as you have one recorded weight you will be ok. I was approved with Aetna in may. I was worried about the same, but if you were over weight 2014 and overweight now im sure they can figure out that you didn't get skinny in 2015.Have you looked at the clinical bulletin online? i followed that thing to the letter . had a copy printed out and saved on my phone . if I had any concern that I could not provide something I asked my surgical group. they know how to get approved and will work hard to get that money.

It gets easier as you go. When I was on soft foods the scale did not budge. Now the way my personality is set up I am super impatient. With that being said my middle name is STALL....lol 3week, 6,week,11week, and was in the 170'since sept5 just got into the 160's about7days ago... In my mind I would be 145 in 6months, the reality is as much as I want this to be a race it is not...ughh took me years to get over 200, but I expect to be under 150 in months...Human nature . hw 226,sw212,cw167,first goal weight around 145

Weight loss rx+sleeve before a revision?
Womanvsmirror posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
**************DISCLAIMER******************** I am not thinking about a revision since I just had surgery in June. I just like to be informed and the internet isn't giving me a lot of info on this subject. JUST CURIOUS ..****** So I read stories on here about revisions from band to sleeve, or sleeve to bypass etc. But maybe I am missing something. Do people get the option of trying a rx first in addition to whatever their current procedure is? And if so , do the drugs not work because of the new absorption rate? is it even safe to take weight loss rx if you have had bariatric surgery? Having this done once was such a process im just wondering what people go through when they seek a revision? if you have taken weight loss pills after surgery or had to consider a revision please share with me....thanks in advance. ********AGAIN I AM NOT TRYIG TO GET A REVISION************ -
Grocery-broth on sale-stock up?
Womanvsmirror replied to mbuczkowski's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No maybe a can or 2 tops . you will be eating barely 2oz after surgery. I wasted hundreds of dollars being over prepared . and hated they way everything tasted so poured it out.
