  1. I was sleeved December 22nd and I must say I hate the scars my staples left behind. And I must say it wasn't fun removing them. Anyone else having scar issues from staples?
  2. I took off 7 weeks but it was my choice. I definitely wasn't in a hurry to return to work
  3. So I told myself I wouldn't fail on my weightloss journey with the gastric sleeve but biggest thing that is so discouraging is exercising with asthma. It's such a huge burden on my life and I don't know what to do. I don't feel I'm getting enough cardio in just walking and I can barely run for a minute without reaching for my rescue inhaler. Even lifting weights can trigger an attack. What am I to do?

    Curious about weightloss

    I'll look into that. Thanks!
  5. I had my revision to the gastric sleeve done on December 22. 2015. I'm down 20 pounds but I noticed that others have had quicker weightloss during the first month. So how much weight should I be losing a week? My surgeon never discussed that with me.

That's great! I'm allergic to nuts unfortunately. That makes protein bars hard to eat for me.

Slow weight loss after the sleeve

I'm in the same boat with the slow weight loss but I do see a difference. I try to remind myself that you lose inches that the scale don't pick up. Your hard work will pay off
  8. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. As long as you have coverage for bariatric surgery I don't think it's required to have two surgeries

So what's your menus like? I know a person that was sleeved but still eats what she wants and still losing great.

    You're absolutely right!
  11. I had my lapband since January 2013. I had major complications due to slippage and I had it replace. I still had major complications so my insurance approved my revision. I had my surgery done in one day. My scar tissue was minimum considering I was banded twice. It's definitely the surgeon's preference whether it will take two surgeries. I didn't want two surgeries so I found a surgeon who was willing to do it in one. If I had major scar tissue then two surgeries would be needed. I was sleeved December 22, 2015 and I must say I feel wonderful
