  1. HI-Met with my doctor yesterday for my 90 day check in and he said that progress was right where it should be and to relax about the stalls and stop adding pressure to myself. He also said that there is no reason to avoid carbonation medically but that it may cause some upset when i drink it. Has anyone had anything carbonated since the surgery?? I just bought a sprite zero from the soda machine at work. it is sitting here poured nicely over ice. But i am so scared to try it, looks delicious though, much rather this than water!! Curious if anyone has had any reactions when trying carbonated beverages?
  2. I find that I have become crazed with the scale; I took it out of my bathroom to stop the madness. Although I feel like I should wake up tomorrow as a size 2, it isn’t really what I want. I am happy with the slow and steady approach, hopefully there won’t be as much extra skin this way. Plus I can’t remember the last time I lost over 30 pounds in two months… I do find concerning that I go up on the scale when I get close to drinking my 64oz of Water each day. I struggle with eating and drinking the required amounts of Protein and water. When I get close to meeting these daily requirements, the scale goes up. I am really struggling with drinking my water, I try each day and it is such a struggle, makes me so queasy when I drink it and when I add the crystal light it gets worse. I keep hoping this passes but it hasn't yet...
  3. I still get that pain in my chest from eating too fast. Even though it feels like i am so slow with chewing so many times and taking such a break in between bites. How long does it take everyone to eat?
  4. I too have been at the same weight for the last two weeks (although it feels like forever) but i saw a big difference in my body yesterday while out clothes shopping. I went down 4 sizes in pants, so although the scale hasn't moved consistently something is happening. I think i am happy to have the weight drop slowly as i am not really into exercising as i should be and i am scared of all the excess skin. For today, i did not weigh myself prior to getting in the shower, i am going to keep the high of fitting in an XL instead of a tight 2x! But I am tired of hearing to embrace the stall.
  5. How do you know if you have one? I have been avoiding all the foods that the NUT said could result in bezoars but then after a friend read through the paperwork on post op diet was asking how do you know. Has anyone had one of these, are their symptoms to be on the look out for?
  6. Hello- I was sleeved on 12/10. I am so glad to read this post, as I have the same thoughts and experiences. I am having a really hard time drinking, i am ok with eating on most days, but i get so sick to my stomach when i drink and it happens with everything from Water to a shake to tea. Has anyone else had this, what did you try to over come? I know i am not getting the 64oz at all and some days it is a struggle to have any Protein, just a few crackers.
  7. Hi-I am on week seven and have struggled since the surgery to get all the Water and Protein levels. During the last few days I have been able to drink a lot more water close to 40-64oz and eat more protein as well. I was starting to feel as if this was the turning point to feeling like myself again. The concern is when i weighed myself today i have gone up 3 pounds. Any one else have this experience or any suggestions? I feel so defeated and discouraged.
  8. My surgery was 12/10. At my 2 week check in my doctor told me I could start on my kids chewable vitamins until I wasn't as sensitive.
  9. Hi-Just curious how long to wait before trying to eat grapes and cucumbers. Dr. told me i can try when i felt ready, but wanted to know if anyone had any issues. I am just over 30 days after surgery and am eating soft foods. I have a nonstop craving for grapes and cucumbers.(not together)
