I'm 3 years post op this month. It doesn't seem possible as it went by so quickly. I have gained 20 pounds and never hit my goal weight. So with this extra 20 I'm 40 lbs away. I'm worried my pouch isn't working or I stretched it, which docs say hasn't happened. But I'm wondering if this pouch reset of going back on liquids is a real thing. I have no issues going to liquids and I only eat low carb. I'm confused on this weight gain and disappointed in myself. I have no doubt that I have screwed this up because I have cheated in the past. But getting this weight off is so much more important than eating things I'm not supposed to. Does anyone have a success story on gaining weight and losing it again or any ideas? I'm willing to do anything at this point. I don't experience dumping anymore at all and I have to take miralax daily for Bm's. Help!

Ok Tomorrow is the day. Two weeks on liquids. What's the worst that could happen, is what I keep asking myself. I have never followed the program completely and I'm admitting it to help myself and others. Not only have I not followed this program completely I've never followed anything by the rules. I am also going to start seeing a psychologist because I self sabotage everything. I have never admitted this either. But I have had so many things happen lately that have back fired that it's time to change. No excuses. I'm going to keep a journal and track everything. If anyone has had any success with starting over let me know. Thank you.

I'm doing a reset starting tomorrow. And joining a gym. Everything's in my head as far as my hunger goes. I have failed myself and I'm disappointed that I didn't take this as seriously as I should have. I'm three years post op this month and only these last 6 plus months found a protein drink that i can stomach which is muscle milk light and lactose free muscle milk chocolate. I never had to do a 2 week liquid only before surgery but I feel so out of control I feel I HAVE to do this. I have had a hernia repair since sugary and battle constipation daily, bloating and hashimotos. But I know I can do this. Skinny feels better than foods taste! It really does. I want that again. Wish me luck!

Who is with me on the Back on Track train? Let everyone hear your stories - good, bad and ugly.

Badly need to get back on track RYN in January 2013. Gained 20 back and with that still have 40 to loose to reach my original goal weight. I never exercised because when I did my herniated discs caused so much pain I was bed ridden. I have lost motivation and will power. Especially, around my time of the month. Forget any will power then. I have no dumping or at least it's rare. I drink with meals and have never followed the program completely. Honestly, my whole life I've never followed anything completely with out bending the rules or making excuses for myself. I deserve to feel good about myself. I self sabotage everything and then feel sorry for myself. I know my mistakes and need someone to hold me accountable. I don't even remember the rules. Someone please tell me how to start over, is it possible? I know I could of gained more weight than 20 so it could be worse but feel thin feels so much better than the food. -
Questions and concerns on malabsorption

Spiritfilled, your Barrettes esophagus, what have they done about it. My husband was diagnosed with it and they just monitor it every six months. Just curious. -
Get the bypass with tricare. It's worth it.

Well I never thought this would happen...

I had this happen and the nurses handled it professionally which made me feel comfortable and not embarrassing at all. They see a lot so this subject is not that big a deal to them. -
Thank you

Muscle milk chocolate lactose free has low carb high protein. It's the ONLY one I can drink. I couldn't stomach the smell etc of any other ones. You may try these. You can find them at gas stations, Walmart and sometimes GNC. Hope this helps.

I'm in a similar situation. Completely my fault. Is there a pouch reset by going back on fluids? Does anyone know? -

Congrats on the under 200! That's terrific. Plateaus are normal, don't fret. That's a normal part of any weight loss. If nothing changes in a few weeks check with your nut or doctor about it. They may have some ideas on what to change as far as foods go. Hang in there! -
Yep. Been there done that. Thankfully they have flushable wipes!

What are you doing for pouch reset? I'm starting tomorrow on only protein drinks and liquids. I'm so aggregated that I may have ruined my pouch.

Sorry. But crap happens and it happens to people thin and not thin. Your husband sounds selfish. I'm sorry but it's not right. He chose to love you healthy, not healthy and through thick and thin. I think therapy is in order because there are deep rooted issues that aren't about you and your health issues! God bless you sister!
