DebSmiles: I had revision from VBG done 20 years ago, and other than taking additional 2 hrs to manage the scar tissue, I had RNY with no problems, and best thing I ever did. I just wish I could have had found a Dr. that could have done this many years ago. I was glad I had a Dr. and staff that had done this many times before and took good care of me. Good luck

I guess I am not alone with this issue. I too am wide awake at 2 to 3 AM every morning, no matter what time I go to sleep. I do not need to get up till 5AM so really need the extra time. I tried Melatonin, with no luck, and now take ZZQuil which gets me more sound sleep till 2 AM, then wide awake.

I usually add Pumpkin Pie Spices or extract to my shakes. I need to try the Torani one. I like their other flavors. -

The only side affect seems to be is that it can cause a severe case of wise cracks. -
My Dr. took mine out during WLS because I had some stones, and he know it would need to come out later. I am not really having any issues but do take digestive enzymes supplement to support the loss of bile enzymes the gallbladder produced.

I liked adding some cottage as well It made them very moist and went down well. After a week, I omitted the cottage cheese and found I did well, but do not over cook the eggs so they get tough Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I had GERD pretty bad for years and sick multiple times a week due to past vertical banding. My revision to RNY went well, and the GERD is gone and I can now eat healthy foods and have no more issues---It feels so good. Hope it works as well for you.

I am always out the door B4 breakfast so must make and carry mine with me. For quick gathering, I enjoy some mornings to have Cottage cheese with fruit and stevia, or even cheese for a more savory taste. The mornings I go the gym B4 work and breakfast, I make and pack Protein shakes, and with all the different varieties I can think up to get protein and carbs at right levels.

I totally agree with Cervidae. My Dr. said to throw away the scale, but that is the only measure system even he uses with every visit, and we do need to watch for long term changes as well as how we feel and our size changes. I am 3 months out, and too have slowed to almost no loss in 4 weeks. I weigh only 1 time a week, and find its a mental challenge, but I feel and look the best I have in years, and must remember to stay the course. Best to you. -
I had RNY and told no NSAIDs ever again I pulled a back muscle and cannot take anything for inflammation. Tylenol does not work. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Congrats on your successful journey. -
I am 3 months out and to date have never felt full or to the point I could not eat anymore. I really do not want to get there, so measure closely, but even early on I could eat 1 cup of some foods, like cottage cheese, when the calories for that meal supported it. I also learned, by slipping in a couple Cookies one day (A moment of weakness), that I do not dump either. This too is not all bad, in that I really do not like getting sick anymore, after years of being sick with vertical banding. But this just solidifies my need to measure, and watch what and when I eat the rest of my life, and not depend on my body rejecting I should not be taking in. Good luck with your progress.

Take it slow when you do to judge the strength level you are at after WLS. I went heavy after 6 weeks and strained my back. I did not consider I was partially inactive B4 surgery, but also little strengthens activity 6 weeks after Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

You may have to see IT person Mine upgraded and locked my system so bad I had to have set back to Windows 7. This cost me 90 bucks, and IT told me this is a major issue that Microsoft is not doing anything about it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
