I will be two weeks post-op this Tuesday. For a few days now, I have had a really bad pain in my lower back. My prescription Tylenol works to knock it out but I feel like I'm only taking it for back pain and pain from my stomach. I do have a little pain directly in front of that on the front side but it feels more like my esophagus instead of my stomach. I'm waiting on my surgeon to call me back. Has anyone experienced this?

When I first came across this app during my research I was so excited about the wealth of knowledge and experiences that people shared. Lately it seems as if these boards have been hijacked by the same gang of people who act like they're the forum police. What happened to giving advice or keep scrolling? I've seen people's post picked apart, taken out of context, or straight out shot down. Somehow the original posts gets hijacked and all off topic. I appreciate the wisdom and support that has been given on this site. From what I have gathered, being exactly two weeks post-op, all of our experiences are different, backgrounds are different, we're just different. If you don't agree with something, that's fine, if you do that's fine too. Maybe a PM can be sent so that when we read a topic that we would like to know more about, two posts into it and there's childish bickering going on, completely off topic and it's annoying!

Why is this person still allowed to post here? I've seen people banned here for less abusive behavior than she/he has exhibited in this thread. For the same reason you are ????

You still posting though.A hit dog will holler. Let it go. Go for a walk. You were waiting to jump in... I guess I'll have a little fun before I get rid of this app. Tell me about your lifeSent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App And ended with this? You complained about drama and now you are sticking around to stir it intentionally for "a little fun"? Nice. So you started the pot stirring with this: You still posting though.A hit dog will holler. Let it go. Go for a walk. You were waiting to jump in... I kind of did, but I think it needed to be more directly stated. so thank you. No, it isn't. The 3 StoogesSent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App You still posting though.A hit dog will holler. Let it go. Go for a walk. Bless your heart.Wait. Who's the bully? Name calling isn't very nice. I don't see where any of these "bullies", "3 stooges", or "cackling old women" threw out insults like you just did. I'd say for every finger you're pointing, four are pointing back at you. (Is this where I send up prayers?) Still cackling Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

Some of you are worst than bullies on the playground. Vsg can change your weight but it won't change nasty attitudes. Cackling old women who have no life outside of these boards. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

It is important to keep an eye open where things are posted. Thanks for proving my point even if I don't you meant to:) I see a topic and OP that I'm interested in with 15 replied and 13 out of that are junk going back and forth because miss spoke. I love the various personalities in the responses and didn't say anything about holding or stuffing or anything like that dear Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

Relax, it's the internet. No need to get all worked up. As you stated above......everybody's different. Not worked up at all, just wish we can get back to the basics. The majority of people come here for help, advice, or something they can relate to Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

I'm on my soft food phase -
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by opening with pain meds but I have not had a bowel movement since 2 days post-op, I am now 14 days post-op and I do believe once I have a good bm my tummy and my back will feel much better. Thankfully I have a follow up appt with my surgeon tomorrow.

Once I reach my goal I hope that I am able to handle A can of soda. I've never been a big pop drinker but every blue moon I would have one and it felt so good going down. I look forward to having one again in the future Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App -
I had to call my NUT today just to confirm that I really should start my pureed/ soft foods phase on tomorrow. It seems that the norm on these boards are two weeks of liquids so i just wanted to clarify. She said absolutely yes...I feel as if I'm ready because I have actually been hungry today and look forward to something different. She said that being on Clear Liquids for an entire week can lead to Vitamin deficiencies. Also, it will hopefully make it easier for my Vitamins intake being able to take them after real food. What were some of the first soft foods did you try? Also, I asked about the Vitamin patch, because I hate taking vitamins... she said it was a scam because vitamins can't be absorbed through the skin. Different strokes for different folks I guess

He said it is more than likely a surgical pain and walking and moving around should help it, continue to take the pain meds if it continues to be bothersome. I'm personally starting to think I need a new mattress. He also said try putting a heating pad on my back and that is helping a great deal is well Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

You seem to be doing very good so far! I'm 12 days post op and can't seem to meet my Protein goal, all I want to do is drink Water. I think you have to find what works for you. Try different combinations and see how your body reacts. On another note I'm going to try these premier Protein shakes and see if I will better luck Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

I keep running into this recipe and most people seem to love it. My question is after this is baked does it have to be pureed or do we eat it just baked?
