I am just now beginning my journey. I have been overweight for a very long time. It honestly feels like since birth. However, my first recollection of being overweight was in Junior High School. Everyone was eating pizza and chicken strips and I was eating boiled eggs and Slender. I, like probably most of you, have tried just about everything. Recently two of my friends had the surgery done and I realized I wanted this too. I began the research and through some online contact and information I chose Dr. Ferrari from Houston. Today was my first meeting with him and it went well. What a blessing to hear it is not your fault and that your metabolism has slowed down to a crawl and is not going to pick back up without having this surgery. I was worried that my diagnosis of Lupus would change things but it was not an issue at all. I realize the Lupus will not go away but I am excited to know my joints will more than likely feel better and I can finally regain my energy.
I am looking for any and all information that will make my journey easier.
