I am concerned that if this is a true post, that you are looking for a short term solution to a long term problem.
Sleeve may work for you in the first 4-5 months, you will be forced to eat less, have bad reflux if you eat wrong foods, or keep throwing up.
Then stomach heals, and as was mentioned before, you can binge on any food, and you will Gain weight back!
Really, you need lot of counselling and even OA - Overeaters Anonymous.
The binge eating needs to be under control Before the sleeve.
Otherwise, surgery will be for nothing, and you could possibly damage your sleeve, spend all this money, be sick, re-gain weight and have life-long complications.
Sleeve is Not a magic wand!

    Don't feed the troll, folks.
There's not a surgeon on earth with any sort of ethics that would do that surgery.

I had a similiar situation at work and felt the same going to someones home where desserts/snacks were being served. I would fight the urge in the moment, but think about the food and then binge later. What I decided to do was carry something OK to have and that I liked in limited quantities so that I could have a treat too in those moments and not feel deprived. I chose Dove Dark chocolate squares and kept 4 in a baggie in my bag. It helped a lot. Limiting the amount was sometimes a challenge, but basically it worked

My pearls of wisdom. Plan/prepare.Weigh/Measure.Track. Repeat--you have to know what's going in you to meet the nutritional goals you set (which dictates meeting the weight goals...) This is work. Even in that "honeymoon" phase of weight loss, it's work. Much more mental than physical-- but work none the less. There are days I whisper to myself "it sucks being a WLS patient", but that's usually when I'm faced with making a choice in the best interest of my health vs. what my head would prefer. The benefits far outweigh the trade-offs.

I wasn't miserable. I was tired and sore but nothing I couldn't manage. I haven't thrown up once since surgery (3+ years ago) and did not feel nausea after surgery. I didn't have any complications.
I do think you are more likely to read negative stories on a message board/app for the surgery because this is where people come if they need information, support, or to vent. Most people don't post about completely uneventful things.

Thank you. Ive tried this once b4 but had to cancel due to husbands illness. It was a different Hospital n dr. And they allowed food like Protein bars. This one is noo food. just 500 cals. Causes my low blood sugar to crash often. Dieticiam gave me the choice of another Water based Protein Drink. Ugh.lol

My dr told me that 1-2 cups/day is fine once I am done healing. The problem is that coffee is a diuretic and will interfere with getting enough Water if you drink too much of it and don't add extra Water to your intake to make up the difference.

I am surprised that you are eating noodles, this early post op. The post op emphasis is on good quality Proteins, and not carbs that can bloat you up and make you feel sick.
Your body is clearly showing that it can't handle noodles. Got to listen to your body, as it will react to foods it can't tolerate or digest.
How about soft, poached salmon with cheese sauce, Chobani yoghurt with Protein powder, a soft boiled egg, chicken mince with cheese sauce, cream cheese, soft veggies like zucchinis in small amounts.
I used to stew apples to add into my yoghurt.
There are many good Proteins to have, instead of carbs that not only will stall your weight-loss, but make you ill as well.
Good luck, I hope you can start eating soft/moist proteins and feel much better!

pattib reacted to Dr. Adeyeri in Your Mind is the #1 Tool for Bariatric Weight Loss Success
The bariatric operation will only take you so far. For many people battling weight issues, the biggest caveat in achieving sustained weight loss is the way you think about food. It's not easy to break habits that have been comfortably in place for years, even decades.
It's time to take your "old frame of mind" out of its comfort zone. Here's how to do it:

When new bariatric patients come to my practice, one of the first things we discuss is how unimportant the operation will be for them, in the big picture. Once they recover from the shock of that news, we explain that their mindset contributed to their weight problem, and their mindset will be the secret weapon to ultimately get the weight off.
Here’s the thing--we don't operate on your brain. Bariatric surgery will only take you so far. Long-term weight-loss success requires a firm commitment to living a healthy lifestyle—eating the right foods--and ignoring the others that made you feel bloated and too tired to do anything. You need to stay very well hydrated and discover an exercise (or two or three) that you perform about 4-5 times a week for about 30-40 minutes.
    Take this stress and…
Then there’s the stress of everyday life—we all have it. The trick is to find ways to offset these unavoidable pressure points, so that you aren’t on a one-way road to the kitchen. Food is not the answer to your problems, it never was.
While you are improving your health, feed your brain with positive feelings by improving the quality of your life. Make the effort to become more social: Join a gym, catch a movie with a long-lost friend, invite the nice parents of your child’s best friend over for coffee.< /p>
Give a little, get a lot
One of the activities I recommend to every bariatric patient is to give back to their community. Want to feel better than any junk food could make you feel? Volunteer. If you look around, you’ll see that you’re far more fortunate than you may realize. Help out, make life better for someone else, even in a small way. Give your time, give your heart.
    Everyone needs a little help
If you think you can’t go it alone, reach out to your bariatric or family doctor to ask for resources who can offer mental health support specifically for people with food/weight issues.
You are never in this battle alone, always remember that.

pattib reacted to Djmohr in Liquid and Mushies Tricks and Tips Please!
As you said liquids are the first challenge for nearly everyone from what I have read and experienced. What's worse, mostly everyone does not realize how sick and weak you can feel when you don't get at least the minimal requirement in.
My surgical team required the whole first week of Clear Liquids and when I look back on it, I know it is because fluids are so critical, even more important that Protein at that stage. Staying hydrated is #1.
Unfortunately it took me longer than a week to master getting enough Fluid in me to keep me from feeling weak, nauseous and having a headache.
I finally learned one trick that actually still works for me today. I had to literally hold a cup in my hand for the first couple hours of the day and constantly sip so that I had a head start on my liquids. Even today nearly 2 years later I start my day with a 20oz bottle of Water, followed by a 30g Protein shake and then 30 minutes later another 20 oz bottle of Water. This really sets me up for a good day.
You have to figure out what works for you. Some people set and alarm for every five minutes or so to take a sip, that didn't work for me. I had to hold the cup in my hand.
Of course in the first few weeks I could not even get that 11oz Protein Shake down. It would take me most of the day and I had to thin it out with milk. But by 4 weeks I was able to get all of my water and Protein down.
Of course I had advanced to full liquids week 2, pureed foods for weeks 3 and 4.
I did not do well on the pureed diet. It was just too soon to be trying pureed meats. And eggs did not work for me at all and still don't. So for those two weeks I ate a lot of yogurt, cottage cheese, cream of wheat with Protein powder, Protein shakes, pureed veggies and creamed Soups.< /p>
I think the biggest learning for me was, just because your surgeon advances you doesn't mean that you cannot take it slower and go back to the previous stage. In fact if you are having trouble, call them and likely they will have you go back for a week or two.
This allows your new tummy to heal better before advancing.
This is just my opinion but advancing ones diet too quickly can actually cause you to not focus on getting the fluids in and building that good habit.

Crushed ice (Sonic is my favorite) with ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates eaten with a spoon was helpful early out.
My surgeon allowed ProtiDiet Tomato basil and creamy chicken Soups even during the clear phase and they were great because sweet Protein drinks were tiring.
I also liked V8 for something more savory.
