We share a surgery date. Loved reading your posts. You're strong and I admire you so much! Glad you're healing up well. I too feel much better today already.

Sleeved 5/22. Nausea is wicked right now

Seeing the scale go in the right direction is mostly what they're looking for. I swore I couldn't lose weight and then I went on the preop liver shrink diet and lost 15lbs. I was shocked. I wish you well. Do let us know how you did.

Will you still like me even though I'm a pats fan? [emoji52] -
Just told surgery wouldn't be for another 6ish months

I'm so sorry. That's really disappointing. I waited two years. Some was developing dvt and some was having my dad pass away. I almost went to Mexico to have it done because I felt like it would never happen. I understand that disappointment. It'll happen. Hang in there. -
Feeling ok. Tired. Staying in hospital. Just wanted to update. Will write more when I'm not drugged Ipad !

Super encouraging news! I'm so happy for us all!

Roanoke VA Excellence of Care center. I couldn't be more pleased

I feel great. First few hours meh but I feel good now. Barely sore. I'm shocked.

Good luck! I feel pretty good. Just had mine done and still in the hospital. Yay!

Hi Klingie. I feel decent. Surprised. Thinking of you, I think you'll do great!

Not going to apologize for being vain

Beautifully said. -
I hate them. I'd like to get by on liquid Tylenol. So a couple of questions. How long did you need them? What medicine was prescribed? Did you receive liquid or pills? Thanks!

Medically induced stress test?
Joann454 replied to Kris10n's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If it's like the one I had it was fine. I know there's another type where you don't walk on the treadmill. Either way you'll be ok. Better to know what's causing the shortness of breath. -
Medically induced stress test?
Joann454 replied to Kris10n's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes. I had one. They did an ekg and discovered some weird delay. So they put an IV in and I walked on a treadmill. Then after a time I went into a machine where they looked at my heart. None of it hurt. I wish you well! -
Excellent thread. I'm having surgery tomorrow and I know I'll get a honeymoon period and I'm going to use that time to learn all I can. I don't want to fall into old habits. Just being on this preop diet has me feeling more in control and that is a great feeling. Thanks everyone.

How long did it take for your insurance to approve you?
Joann454 replied to ElleBJ's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm shopping at goodwill for sure. Then I'll donate them right back. I have some leggings and sundresses that will last through a few sizes. So glad I'm retired. I can be a baggy bum for a bit! -
Does it help? I've considered it. I did buy the pills to take after surgery but I've considered the shot.
-
Thanks! Time. Is. Dragging. [emoji23]
-
Already purchased but I did throw the receipt away. Ah well. Someone will use them if I don't.

I haven't weighed but I can feel I've lost weight. I got to eat food tho. Ugh I feel for you! I'm on clear liquids today and I'm so hungry! Just ready for this to be in the rear view mirror! Good luck Tuesday!
-
Me too. Good luck tomorrow!

Cova. Literally one day. I called them. It did take two weeks for me to get a surgery date though. -
Pcos, Hashimoto's, insulin resistance
Joann454 replied to Vsgneeded's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There's a search option. Type in hashimotos etc and see what old threads there might be. I have hashi too and searched here and found a couple of threads. Also, I've read some about pcos on here as well. Good luck! -
Happy you're on the other side!! I'm assuming I'll have that pain but hoping I don't. Thank you!
