    The long wait.....

It took me nearly two years from my first appt to surgery. Many setbacks and issues. I know just how you're feeling. Hang tough it'll happen. Do you log your food so you know exactly how many calories/carbs/protein you're eating? I was on a "strict diet" but once I started logging I realized I was eating 1500 calories. That's literally my current BMR so I wasn't losing a thing.
  2. So glad you're heading to the ER and that you reached out to your mom. Good job.

    My surgery is tomorrow

Congrats! Lots of calming breaths and positive thoughts. We'll be thinking of you!

    I have a question

I went in with purple toes too. Natural fingernails-no polish.
  5. It's your body and your decision. I woke up happy from surgery. Relief it was over and that I didn't die! You have to be ok with it! If you're not (and I know how bad you've been struggling) then you made the right decision for yourself.
  6. They charge more for higher BMIs I believe.
  7. I too was told not to go too low. You have high bp so I wonder why that wouldn't qualify you? Stinks
  8. When I'm off liquids I'm definitely doing low carb. I don't think you "have" to but for me it works best. I feel best on it. If you don't feel good on it and can lose not doing it then I can't see what's wrong with you not doing it.

    Surgery scheduled May 30!

I can't believe they wouldn't consider that one high one an anomaly and proceed. I had a set back as well. I too was devastated. Here I sit newly sleeved. It'll happen for you too.

    Surgery scheduled May 30!

Is that normal for you or higher than usual?

    Surgery scheduled May 30!

Have you had it checked since then by anyone? Fingers crossed it's under control so you can proceed.
  13. Right? Salad yum. It sounds so good to me.
  14. It was two weeks full liquids then on to purée until about a month before my surgery. Then they switched it out and now it's three weeks full. My NUT said they have a new head of surgery and he's uber conservative. She did roll her eyes. I'm so asking. I feel like two weeks on full is the average from reading around on here.

    Argh! Glue reaction

After I posted this I jumped in the shower and washed it all up and then sat down and slowly removed it all. Omg what a difference. Guess I'll need to add that to the list of stuff I'm allergic to.
  16. 8 days out and I'm having a reaction to my glue over my incisions. Little bumps and itchy as all get out. I want it off!
  17. Good luck tomorrow!
  18. Good luck tomorrow!
  19. I take an adult chewable centrum twice a day, a sublingual 500 B12 twice a day, and liquid calcium twice a day. I have so many alarms set on my phone it's crazy. Plus my regular meds and Prilosec.
  20. I'm getting around 80 grams of protein. 8 days out.
  21. Wow! You're adorable in your sassy pants! Congrats!

    Setting myself up for failure?

I think for me, right now anyway, halo top felt slippery mentally. At first I was thrilled to eat it but then I noticed I was skipping yogurt for it (same protein but not as filling). I love cheese. All cheese. It'll be something I need to beware of too. This isn't always easy and I make mistakes it's definitely a process.
  23. I'm drinking/ eating around 500 calories right now. Is this sufficient?
