  1. Look at you! Yup, this is inspiring. How do you like body pump? Is that Zumba with weights?

    Pronunciation?

Ha! That's cute. I call it doo ah dermal. Yeah, I know there's no "r". I had never heard of it until I joined here.

    April sleevers!?

Ooh that's awesome! I wonder when they'll test mine again. I was right at 6 so no meds but I was headed that way. Congrats!! I'm hoping this new generation of women raising girls will teach their daughters to raise up and empower each other. I see it with my nieces raising their daughters.

    Skinny Bucket List

Just booked a trip to St Martin for six months from now. I used to travel a lot but haven't in the last ten years. I didn't realize how much my weight was preventing me from living.
  5. My gallbladder removal was a couple of years ago and it hurt far worse than my sleeve surgery. My gallbladder wasn't even enlarged. Different surgeons? I have no idea but I was pretty nervous about VSG after the gallbladder ordeal. I will say that the recovery was similar in one regard, it gets better every day. Heal up.
  6. I asked the surgeon today and he said the feeling may or may not come back. It feels so weird. Anyone experience numbness around their navel after surgery? Did it come back or did you adjust to how it felt?

    Vsg & domestic abuse

So sorry. Please go somewhere safe if you can. Worried for you.

    I PASSED!!!!

Better check. It took me four days of no nicotine to pass. It also depends on what type of test you have. Blood or urine etc
  9. I think calcium citrate is also more easily absorbed vs calcium carbonate. I agree with the poster who said you're worrying about things that may or may not happen. I spent so much time worrying about this or that with surgery and recovery. For me it was a waste of energy and even if it does happen, what can you do? It's gonna be what it's gonna be. Use this time to get prepared and stay positive. I've had a perfect recovery so far and wish I'd been less of a mess before surgery.
  10. Butternut squash soup (just check sugar content), refried beans w sour cream, puréed chicken breast w mayo, cottage cheese w tomato soup (idk why it's just good to me), mashed up hard boiled egg w mayo. I'm following because I need ideas myself!
  11. I'm glad it's getting sorted and you can continue on the journey.
  12. Read up on Dr Ilian in Mexico If I was self pay that's where I would go.
  13. I'd like thoughts. I'm heading to the Cape at 7 1/2 weeks post op. I am dying for some fresh fish and chowder. Is this doable? How was your stamina at 8 ish weeks out? I want to swim in the ocean! I'm extremely excited for this vacation as it's been a rough two years for me but I want to be able to enjoy it. Thoughts?

    I'll ask my NUT but...

I grew up in Falmouth Heights and I'll be there visiting my family. I lived in Bass River for years! I'll bring some protein. I can't wait to go. Might drive over to kreme & kone [emoji16]

    Heading in to surgery...

Best of luck! Let us know how you're doing when you can.

    Post op 3 days

It will pass. You're doing great. Focus on walking and fluids. Once it starts getting better it gets better fast and you're really close to that point. Are you home now?
  21. Oh. I'm new and just had surgery a couple of weeks ago. I'll leave this to someone with more experience.

    Numb all around belly button?

Thanks for the responses. It is a very strange feeling. Sometimes it tingles and itches so I'm hoping that means the nerves are regenerating. Thanks!
  23. People have surgery in Mexico and fly home a few days later. I'm flying at 7 weeks and they said it would fine. You have to follow precautions if it's a long flight (get up and move).
  24. I'm in the same boat. My NUT said to take it easy till cleared for more food and exercise. Let me know if upping you calories helps. It's very frustrating.
