    First week of puréed foods

That's such a great idea and they both sound good! I have food envy!

    Pain medication concerns

It's possible. Have you experienced yawning and watery eyes as well? It happened to me once. I'd just stop them and be done. It'll be over and done. I'm very sensitive to the meds and hate taking them. I hope you feel better and there's no shame in your question. It happens more than I was ever aware of.

    Loose Skin

I've read over and over that there's very little we can do to prevent loose skin. If this truly worked we'd have heard about it. It still could be beneficial though but I doubt it will prevent it from happening.

    Loose Skin

lol! I have never had a good bone broth either. Maybe I just don't like bone broth. Sorry it was lousy.
  5. I apologize for not noticing this was in the guys section. Good luck!
  6. Good luck! Almost there!!! So exciting!
  7. Let me know if you find out! lol I think I'll try 800-1000 kcals, I might lose slower but I'm petrified of messing up my metabolism. I wish I knew the answer. I like my NUT but she wants me eating carbs. Fruit, potatoes and such. Uh uh!

    Can I take Tylenol

You should be able to. I was cleared almost immediately to take pills. Especially since you're on solids. I had surgery 5/22

    Home alone?

If I dropped something on the floor the first week it stayed there until someone else picked it up. Bending over hurt. Grabbers would've been handy.
  10. I'm wondering if anyone here lost the bulk of their weight on 800 or less calories and how their metabolism is now.
  11. I found this doing a search. Yikes. Sorry to anyone who got scammed or injured by these thieves. So I won the lawsuit against SLIMBAND IN TORONTO how do i collect So to make a very long story short, I paid 16,000 dollars to the SLIMMBAND CLINIC IN TORONTO, TO INSERT BY LAPOROROCOPY AND GENERAL ANESTHETIC A DEVICE WHICH WAS TO CONTROL MY APPETITE AND HELP ME TO LOSE AND MAINTAIN MY WEIGHT, FOR MY HEALTH. I was blind sighted, I should have done my homework, this very clinic and doctor had jumped ship on hundreds of other innocent unsuspecting, patients. I went through the courts and won the case against the clinic, big deal they shut their doors one week prior to my court date. My only hope is to tell anyone who even thinks about this way of life in the Toronto area be certain it is not the same owner, nor the same doctor that took my money and left me with a nonfunctioning piece of silicone band in my abdomen. Three surgeries later and many heart aches and physical discomfort I had the monster removed.DO NOT BE FOOLED THEY HIRE SKINNY PEOPLE WHO TELL YOU THEY HAD THE SAME SURGERY. I HAVE ASLO BEEN IN CONTACT WITH PATIENTS THAT ENDED UP WITH SEVERE INFECTIONS AND MANY COMPLICATIONS. https://www.bariatricpal.com/index.php?/topic/398746-So-I-won-the-lawsuit-against-SLIMBAND-IN-TORONTO-how-do-i-collect/page__view__findpost__p__4482030

    No support from husband

Then I'd bet he's feeling nervous that you might leave when you lose weight. See if you can get him on board with the heathy eating and working out with you. My sister's husband was not on board either but he works out now and they are stronger than ever. [emoji173]
  13. I got stuck on moving to the Caribbean to retire! That's amazing!

    No support from husband

Is your husband a good husband in general? Do you have a good relationship normally? He may be feeing insecure or worried and not expressing it. If he's normally like this, well, idk what to say. I'd find a support group nearby.
  15. That's TOTALLY me! Anticipation is half the fun! I'm glad you're optimistic. I think it helps a lot going in with that mind set. I've only had one kind of down day. Not bad!
  16. Yep. It was ALL I thought about! I can't begin to explain the relief when it was over! I was so sick of thinking about everything. Of course after surgery you have a whole new slew of things to think about! I've avoided buying shoes because I read our feet will shrink! Post surgery you'll be on a new neurotic tangent. Alarms for vitamins, did I drink enough, is my pee the right color, etc etc Good news is, I'm six weeks out and this no longer consumes my thoughts and I'm actually living again!
  17. I hear such conflicting info about this. How low is too low until it messes with our metabolism? I need to research this. Maybe there is no definitive answer.

    Saying Hi: 6 years out

    Absolutely amazing!

    The relationship impact

I didn't think you meant it literally. Having worked with abused women I'm very sensitive to even joking about it. Seen too much.

    Swimming

If your incisions are closed and all healed (which they should be at a month out) I can't see an issue. Just don't go out far (maybe you could wear water wings [emoji23]). Stay hydrated and plop your chair at the water's edge! I do hope you can have fun even though no eating and drinking. There's always shopping!

    Scar remover cream

The NP told me that whatever I used would be more effective if I massaged the scars for ten minutes while rubbing in the cream. She said cocoa butter was as effective as mederma. I haven't started it yet so no first hand experience.
  22. Good. So do you have to keep it covered? You don't have a fever so you? Thanks for updating us.
