Calling all February 1st Sleevers!
soflgrl replied to arenea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@prettyCali916 I'm struggling with food & water. Not even close to any goals. Just trying to figure out how to get it all in. Every day is a new day...and I start over again -

I am trying to nibble what I can. I'm hungry sometimes, but nothing really tastes good and it's difficult to get the whole 64oz of fluids in, so at this point, I'm just doing what I can. -

My doc said to focus on getting the 64oz of fluid because hydration is most important. It's easier to do it with clear fluids. I think that biologically our bodies can handle more, but since hydration is always a concern, he said to make that the focus. I'm drinking, but I'm still feeling thirsty af. -
Tell me more about the biking thing. I may be interested in that

I'm on IG, @my_vsg. FB kicked me off for using soflgrl. I had that account for 9 years :-( The noises my tummy is making are insane. I swear there's a snoring bear in there. I was foaming nonstop since 4pm yesterday up until I passed out at midnight. This morning, just walking, walking walking and my goal is to get 64 oz of fluid in today. 4 down...60 to go. -

I am still on IV and they took me off morphine drip and gave me Lortab, but that made me sick to my stomach, so now I've been given liquid Tylenol. My incisions and body is sore and I think everyone gets that thing down their throat. That's sore, too. Lol. I guess it all goes with the program... nothing but room temp water for me at this point. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I'll be discharged probably early afternoon. -

@LifeWhichIsMine. I've been using a water tracker on my phone. I'm migraine prone. I think some of it is tension/nerves. I usually treat with advil/excedrin migraine before it gets bad, but because I can't take those before surgery my headaches just climax. -

I got my date! Any other Feb 2nd sleevers?
soflgrl replied to Ladybrinkman's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So the headache continues today... I go to a relexology spa to try and get the pain massaged away and I give the asian guy a jar of tiger balm to use. When he finishes my back and tells me to flip over, I look up and he has toilet paper jammed in both of his nostrils because apparently he doesn't like the smell of tiger balm ???????????? -

soflgrl replied to Ladybrinkman's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know about you guys, but this pre-op diet has been torture. I'm not necessarily hungry, but I suffer from migraines and have had nonstop headaches for two days. That + no food = misery. I'm scheduled for Feb 1 I pray that these headaches don't continue. -
ssflbelle What's your email?
-
Same. Tried to join the meetup group, but it's not there. I'm scheduled for Feb 1 with Shillingford and I live in Boca. Are there any other local support groups? I don't have much support at home and I'm looking for a mentor & a buddy.
