I am 3 weeks out and I have been walking the last week 30-45 min. I listen to my body and I have found discomfort usually comes from gas [emoji948][emoji3] -

Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
Shawn722 replied to Awjones28's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I was talking to a former co-worker and we were catching up she asked about a person we both know who lost a lot of weight, she said did she have that operation or diet and exercise. Wow! really, everything I know says if you have surgery you also have to diet and exercise. But I know people don't know so I took it as a teachable momement. -

Bellabloom, sounds like it was best you saw his true colors. What a jerk, I don't know why our society has just become so mean. Who made that rule, and civility is a thing of the past???? There are wonderful men out there, he just wasn't one of them. -

My Story: I ain't ashamed to tell it. I was fat, tired, hungry, looked like crap, barely went out, and sick

I loved your story, thank you for sharing. You are so right on point with many issues that bring one to this decision. As for the "cheating" really I guess it is better to have surgery to out in stints or have my chest cracked open. This journey is tough enough without judgement even when you are trying to do better for yourself. Keep up that fantastic energy, love it. -
????ooh no, I sure hope he gives me clearance before 3 months I was already thinking 6 weeks was a long time. But I will follow his direction, what ever that is.

I have a friend that lost 110 pounds through diet and exercise. She had a lower body lift and fat added to her butt and scheduled for her inner thighs, arms and breast implants. With all of that her surgeon said to the other surgeon, "so proud of her she lost all her weight the right way". Wow really? You are literally chopping her up but using the sleeve as a tool is the "wrong way"? smh, I am still pursuing what I believe is right for me. -
Thank you, I will definitely wait for the green light.

Awesome, you look great! Keep up the hard work, and excuse me but 110 pounds is NO small feat! -
I am pre-op but have been dieting and exercising with weight lifting as a part of that routine. I really enjoy it, nothing too heavy but definitely lots of reps (25-50) 3-4 times each exercise. Anyone know how long before you can resume cardio and weightlifting. And how did it go any complications, were things different?
