For me, I to try to stay at 1C. including Protein, veggies and a tiny bit of fruit. I'm not really strict with this measurement as I think I'm probably eating close to 1 1/4C per meal at times, especially at dinner. This does keep me satisfied pretty well. I would like one more fill but may not be able to if I've reached my goal. My medical team said no more loosing after that. Oh and they also say.........NO Snacks so I drink lots of Water in between and have an occasional diet cocoa. Do I get hungry? NO, its in my head, (old habits die hard)!!

I've worried about that too. I asked my nutritionist about stretching my pouch by eating more than a cup, (ya I'm paranoid) and she said its hard to do since the pouch is done on the upper part of the stomach where the tissue is really thick and not to worry. Liquids should pretty much go through the little pouch since its "liquid" and I'll bet your fullness goes away pretty quick or soon after your all done drinking........right? At least thats my experience. However, I've been told by the nutritionist that carbination is what can really do the stretching.

A paper towel folded over several times works great if you can get it to stay there, you may need to change it so it stays dry.

Aw, thanks Jack that means alot coming from you! The weight isn't coming off very quick now............sniff, sniff. 5 lbs will put me at my ideal weight but I'd like try for lower. After I got the band I was never hungry, so it was pretty easy for me. I eat lean meat, a few vegies, a little fruit and stay away from carbs and fatty foods. Trying to eat healthy. I'm not eating to were I'm in pain but feel the pressure in my chest. I know not to push it past that. If I eat to that point I'm not hungry..................for a very long time, if ever, thats what I've discovered lately. But eating, even though I'm not hungry, isn't a problem.......:biggrin:

Protien is good, have meat every meal usually. I think what has happened is I'm not eating till I'm truly satisfied. Been trying that and am doing better. I am eating a little over a cup so I think I will get another fill this week. Thanks guys!

I'm so paranoid of stretching out my pouch. Does anyone know if its easy to do and besides carbonation, what really makes that happen, eating till your miserable? I can eat about 1 cup of food, a little more to feel satisfied and to get the slight pressure to keep me full a long time. But when am I over doing it? :confused2:

Thanks everyone, you'd think by now that I would be able to handle it but its been bad these last few days but mostly evenings I feel like if I was to take a bite of something I'd want to gorge myself on it. Even though I'm not hungry after I eat, I don't feel satisfied, does that make sense? Its got to be a head game..............grrrrrrr

Lately I've been fighting terrible head hunger/munchies. I can't figure out why and why now....other than I've been extra stressed lately but you would think it would be the opposite. I've really just been wanting to snack!!! I thought I was past that but apparently not. Does it ever end? I'm told NO Snacks ever! So its just the three meals for me and a Diet Cocoa or 2 (25 cals). But I also find I have bites of something I really shouldn't be having at meal time. Its just a couple but I feel I'm loosing control and my bad habits maybe sneaking in. Would love any advice on how I can get past this mind game!!!!!! Thanks!

I measure sometimes just to make sure my portions are staying were they should be. I read on this wonderful forum once that if you don't your serving sizes will creep up, scared me enough that I do it.

For me, I stop when I'm satisfied and but don't feel empty either....does that make sense? I'm also terrified about stretching my pouch so I don't dare eat till I'm really feeling full and when I do, I feel guilty.

Thank you guys. Yes the stats are true. I was never hungry, had good weight loss. I have another check-up/weigh in on Thurs. If I've lost its not much and has slowed way down. Thats why I wanted a fill last time, I wanted to see if it would help as my portions were more than I should probably be having. Plus I was hoping it would help with the slowing weight loss. Am I hungry :confused2: been fighting the head hunger demons lately, driving me nuts, not really hungry I don't think. But since I got the roast down ok it made me wonder if I should try another fill. I will be trying to maintain soon and that scares the he#$ out of me. I've never been able to do it yet!

I've had my band since last July, you'd think I would remember to slow down on chewing and swallowing too big of bites. However, I'm still trying to remember to do that. Last night as I was eating some roast which used to be a guaranteed PB if I wasn't careful, I swallowed a bigger bite (realizing but too late) and nothing happened to my surprise! Is that a possible indication that my band is looser? I have noticed this with other food that used to give me problems also. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I still have to have self control. If I ate sweets and candy I would gain, so making a wise choice is important.

Do you give in, as in having a couple of small bites or do you totally try to fight it off? Was wondering which would be the best way to handle it. Thanks
