  1. I has my Gastric Sleeve surgery 1/11/2016 and had a staring weight of 406. Honestly the only thing that surprised me was what it would feel like when they pulled my drain out the day after surgery. I actually felt it dragging against the inside of my stomach. It wasn't painful just more of a shock to me. The other thing that kinda freaked me out was the hole from my drain. It has one stich and a stery strip but I can see the hole and when I went to take the bandages off and take a shower I was kinda freaked out. All in all everything that I have read and been told has come to pass. I would do it again in a heart beat and I look forward to the weight dropping off. I pray everyone who is having surgery the best of luck and just keep your eye on the ball. Thank you.
  2. I am sore but resting comfortably
  3. Going in this morning. Good luck everyone.

    Rude people

Sounds to me like the mil and sil have some self image issues and are trying to project them onto you while trying to divert attention from their own failures or insecurities. I would venture a guess that they both have been making off hand comments about you and others weight because it makes them feel superior. Just keep your head up and don't let the haters get to you.

Are you doing the outpatient or staying in the hospital? I'm doing outpatient at the surgery center but staying in hotel overnight for next morning follow up and since you are before me I would love insight on how things go for outpatient if you are doing that. Everyone in here has stories of their hospital stay but I can't find much info on the outpatient difference. I am doing outpatient since I only live around 20 minutes away. I will post a reply on my experience next week since I took the week off from work. I am told the pain isn't that bad but I wanted to give me time to get my food intake under control before I went back to work. I have a coworker who had outpatient done at another location and she said it was a breeze but took a while for her to get into the surgical room and then recovery and then discharged. I had my nutrition class today and the nurses pretty must said the same thing about it taking a while to get discharged. It has to do with the length of the surgery 1.5 hours - 2 hours and if there are patients in before you. Sometimes things can get backed up with the schedule so I would tell anyone waiting for you to get a good book and find a comfy place to hang out. : ) Good luck.
