What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Link209 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Bigjoe102 your number 102 are almost entirely word for word what I would have written, just change it to 4 sons and a daughter. Lets add... Not being able to play with my kids like I want to. Not feeling handsome with my wife who always looks great. Sweating like an animal regardless of the weather. And being in insane physical pain, all the time. -

Modesto here! Had my DS done 7/22/15 by Dr. Coates at Doctors -
My DS was my 3rd abdominal surgery, but my first in regards to Bariatric surgery. I have to say, my recovery sucked. It was incredibly painful. The surgeon clipped a nerve that left a sensation of white hot fire burning across my abdomen for close to two weeks. Landing me back in the hospital for stroke level blood pressure. Now, im 150lb lighter and happy as a clam, but don't believe it might not be 2 weeks of agony. Not to mention even though Im dead sexy now, my excessive gas is a deal breaker!

Serious Decison To Make

Ill tell you right now, if your diabetic, get the DS. I too was diabetic, before I left the hospital after my DS surgery my diabetes was cured. In Europe, the DS is performed on healthy wieght type 2 diabetics soley to treat this disease. The DS is more invasive, my surgery hurt like hell. But im 7 month, and 135LB lighter. Im a new man, husband, and father. Any surgery will require you to take supplements afterwards, i just take 1 extra, its not that hard. The hardest part for me is not eating sugars (gas), or fatty foods (oil slicks). Like the sleeve, the ghrelin producong portion of your stomach is removed so that benefit is added. Of all the surgeries, sleeve, bypass, band.... Only the DS cures diabetes. Something like 98.4% cure rate. Im healthier and happier than I have been in 15 years. Do yourself a favor. Listen to your doctor.
