I just flew to Phoenix for Spring training 24 days post op and the only thing my surgeon asked was for me to stand and walk every hour while in the air.

I'm with Kaiser South Sacramento, I started at the end of December, started my diet Jan 1, and had my surgery March 1st. I went to all the classes and appointments they required. The time went by pretty fast once I got into the swing of things. Good luck.

Kaiser South Sacramento - Questions after Introduction Class

I just had my surgery on Tuesday and was discharged home yesterday. I'm very sore but overall no complications. -
I started the Northern CA Kaiser program and was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with them paying or any hidden cost, so far all they have charged me is a few co-pays and they say no charge for the actual surgery.

Kaiser South Sacramento - Questions after Introduction Class

I keep reading about pre-op liquid diets but nothing has been said about that during the classes I've gone too, have they put you on one for your surgery? I have been following the KP diet that is in the book and I'm about 1lb from my surgery goal weight. -
Kaiser South Sacramento - Questions after Introduction Class

I'm in the same program and started a little ahead of you. I went to the intro class in Folsom and requested to be admitted to the program, they moved pretty quick to get me into the first orientation at South Sac were they have one of the surgeons give a class on the types of surgery then the dietitian give a good presentation on the nutrition needed and you will also meet the nurse care manager, the total "class" was about 4 hours. They will also schedule you with the surgeon during the class. They will also give you a binder which is like to total guide for the program. Good luck. So when you leave the class you should have your first appointment scheduled and a pretty good idea of the program.
